1" Holes Drilled All Over Property - What Animal is Doing This??

Armadillos vary a lot. When I lived in Southern Alabama, the armadillos dug huge holes, not small ones. I think the grub infested lawns had a lot of grubs, so the Armadillos dug more widely. I know the lawn creature isn’t a wild pig, because they make a yard look like an air strike hit it.

Slithy toves, definately.

Here in NJ we had 1" holes and it ended up being a huge bug called a cicada killer. It burrows into the ground and makes the lawn look like Swiss cheese.

If short holes, 1-2 inches, in my area, its skunks getting grubs under the lawn.
If indefinitely long holes, rats.
We dont have the exotic armadillos and though my cats have brought in voles, moles and mice Ive never seen them popping out of their residences, so I cant tell.
Bunnies also have tunnels/holes but I dont know how big.

We have the same uniform holes in our yard too; maybe it is just me, but, they really bother me; I hate even looking at them, have to take my dog out though, I step on them and bounce and jump; my little minpin keeps smelling real good in some of them. My husband thought birds; I said I do not think so; I thought they were those bugs that go underground and come out when its hot; but you all know the weather is just beginning to get cold; WILL THEY GET IN THE HOUSE?Thank you; BTW we live in Pittsburgh PA

Skunks or moles. Not usually something to worry about in the house.
