Mine has gates that divide the sections, but I don’t always close them. It also has two waist-high tie rings up there which can be used to help secure a load (but oddly seem too low to tie a horse safely). With the rubber floor, things don’t tend to shift anyway. Locally, with the gates open, I might have a muck tub and a water jug on the floor of the +1 while hauling. Neither moves an inch, and I have a crazy steep driveway to go up when returning home.
