Oh how I wish he was a filly! Breeding him/her is likely to produce color in between his and his dam’s.

We had TWO black fillies fifteen minutes apart on 2/16/13. The first was a Presidio - Graf Genius and the second was a Presidio - Singular Joter. Both are cute and sooo sweet.
Do you have some photos of your Presidio - Singular Joter filly ? I am breeding a Singular Joter maiden mare this spring.
JB - So you think the white mare’s colt may be DW too? I kinda thought there wasn’t enough white to make me think he was DW but I’ll get him tested anyway. Perhaps next year she will have a DW filly for you!
he very well could be, and be that minimal. Absolutely it can be that minimal
But, unless you know which DW the mare carriers, I’m not sure you’ll be able to get him tested. I know we’ve discussed her before, but what is her breeding, as in, do we know which parent her DW came from? Or is she a new mutation herself?
JB, she is a new mutation. A total freak out of the blue. My mare is the first ever DW studbook Hanoverian. Cool eh?
Sam Brookes at Cornell is looking at her DNA. She said it may a while! But I assume once she’s cracked it, the colt can be compared to that?
Oh that’s good! Yes, once they find and number her mutation, then the colt can be be tested for that one, because it’s either that one or not DW - the odds of him sprouting his own new DW is nearly nil.
First foal of the season for Kimberlee Farms has arrived. Introducing Independence KF aka Indie (Laroche/Lisette/Edison), a KWPN colt.

Oh boy! You’ve got a tiger… I can see his attitude in the second photo!
Yeah. He went after a friend who came to visit her baby the other day - striking, cowkicking, etc. She called me, was calling him a “her” and then I used the word “him” and she said “it’s a boy? GELD HIM NOW!” On the other hand, he was very kind to my aunt and her 2YO granddaughter. And on yet another hand, he spent several minutes tonight trying to trick me into “making” him kick and bite me. “Oh hey, here’s my butt DON’T YOU WANT TO SCRATCH IT? DON’T YOU? [and then I can buck and kick]”
Fun little guy. I feel sorry for the mare.
Molly Malone, we’re in Washington state.
I bought mine before he was weaned, long ago, (he died years ago at 17) and he had that look. He was indeed a trial for his mother, a truly abnoxious foal.
Even after gelding he was stallion like to handle on the ground, (not a kicker but mouthy) but he was easy to train under saddle, loved attention and being ridden.
He was the only horse I’ve ever owned, that when I “parted ways” with him hacking out (he never TRIED to throw me and I went off 3 times over all those years) would not take off for home , he just hung around waiting for me to get back on.
I miss him.
