I just went to the USEF membership page and signed up for a fan membership and it didn’t ask for any codes or payment info. https://www.usef.org/join-usef/join-renew
OMG WHAT
NOOOOOOO
Land Rover should have come out with a vehicle and named it “Rolex” to promote at the event.
(Okay, called it Rollex or something, to avoid a lawsuit.)
Anyone in need of tickets?
I have a friend with the following:
2 full sets of tickets (3 days of ground passes F-Su, covered stadium seating for dressage on Friday and SJ on Sunday) $327 for all, open to offers.
1 SJ stadium ticket $59.40
PM me if interested and I can send contact information! I do not have any more details than what is posted here (like specific seat assignments).
Did you put this is the Ticket thread also???
Em
Didn’t see that there was one - it’s bumped to the top now so I’ll cross-post there. Thanks!
Can the public attend the jogs tomorrow? Is it worth it to try to make?
Public can definitely attend jogs. Get there early if you want to be in the front row!
Has anyone gone by yourself? Last minute trip to Memphis tomorrow and contemplating the crazy idea of driving up just for Saturday. Yes, I know it’s a 6-7 hour drive.
That will get you the live stream, but if you want replays/access to USEF Network, this year it will cost you $25 (or $12.50 with DoverLRK3DE22 discount code)
I haven’t but I totally would if I wanted to see it! You don’t need anyone with you to enjoy it! But if I was going to make that kind of drive I’d find a way to stay and see at least some of the stadium jumping on Sunday too
Thanks for the input. I went with my daughter in 2014, and we had the full immersion four day KY3DE experience. Have wanted to get back since but it’s a major undertaking from the west coast. My trip to Memphis is largely an errand of mercy so had the thought that side trip for a day of cross country might add some fun. However, Lexington weather forecast is showing thunderstorms for Saturday afternoon, and I’m not sure I want to do all that driving just to dodge thunderstorms in the open. Now if it was supposed to be 70ish degrees and sunny…
Not Kentucky, but I’ve gone to European five stars alone several times. I actually prefer it! You can do what you want, exactly when you want. Experiences like these events have so much to offer that I prefer to do them alone, and fit my socializing time with friends in later. When I’m there, I want to focus on the event. Do it!
I have never been to the Kentucky Three Day, but I have been to both Badminton (just cross country day) and Burghley (the whole thing) on my own, and had a very good time, regardless of the weather.
There aren’t many things in life that you can count on, but thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon at Kentucky won’t let you down.
Thunderstorms in Kentucky are still warm! Plus that’s when the real XC action comes into play! haha
Eventing Podcast Kentucky preview show
Do we know if the jogs will be livestreamed on the LRK3DE Facebook page again?
Looks like Chris Talley and Lainey Ashker will be doing a livestream on the Hagyard Pharmacy Instagram account for the jogs.
For the Luddites in here… do I gotta have an Instagram account to watch this?
