King Edward showing why he’s the king :crown::crown::crown:

McLain seemed to be gunning it, unnecessarily. He had plenty of time.

His horse played pretty hard in the beginning and I think has a history of that, so I was wondering if he was making sure that the bucking and playing wasn’t going to get in the way of the time allowed

I wish Nayel would just take a breath once in a while. It’s a lot of talking tonight

McLain knows the horse, so one buck wouldn’t usually make him ride his first round like a jump off. That was odd.

I think Nassar is refreshingly insightful and articulate.

Well done Katie!!!

I’m loving the commentary. Great insights and observations. Especially for any regular folk watching, they’re enjoying having a bit more of an explanation than just seeing that the ‘horse didn’t do it’. Educating the public!! :+1: :+1:

Katie Dinan !!! What a round. Great job!!!

…and, Nassar knows the proper use of “less” and “fewer”, which I appreciate, and is more than I can say for many of our commentators.

Darn, Kent! Oh well, you can’t win them all. :slightly_smiling_face:

No wonder G. Bloomberg trusts him with her horses. Good horsemanship from Spencer Smith. :+1:

Emily Conter rode such a brilliant jump off! Especially fitting this being International Women’s Day

Well done Emily!!!

Katie, big props for being a great rider, besting all but the top three (I think?) in the world rankings that were in this class. Well done you!

Congrats to Emily, lovely seeing a lady at the top of the podium just in time for women’s day!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :star_struck:

What showing by the under 25 year olds… great riding by the new generation!

It was fun to see Extravaganza Semilly go so bravely right out of the starting gate. Always sets you up for a good class when the first one does herself proud. And every time we get to see King Edward is a gift.

Beezie Madden making an appearance tonight! Can’t wait to see her back in a big class.

Love Lauren Fischer giving her horse a hug and a few pats before they started.

I remember someone complaining here during the last WEF Grand Prix that Nassar talked too much (I disagreed.)
I do think that Sean Crook is talking too much. All the way through the rounds. Steven Wilde keeps trying to get him back on track and to actually comment on what is happening in the ring.
I feel that Nassar was very articulate and I liked his commentary.

Your complaint is like going to a dinner party and complaining to the host that you didn’t enjoy the food or entertainment.
