$500 just to look? WTF?

just a thought…

some of these do not strike me as coming from a PMU…

and they are so concerned about people finding the horses advertised elsewhere for less…

could they buy horses they fancy off of, say, dreamhorse, and then resell for more $$$??? is it possible that if we are not careful, horses we try to sell might wind up in their hands for this fate?

"It would be our preference to have a policy that states that vet exams will only be performed for mature horses over $5,000, however, we do understand that this is important to some of our customers and so we have made the following allowances for such situtations: While we are happy to provide this service in situations where it is requested, we require a confirmed sale."

See, and here I thought that PPE stood for PRE-Purchase exam…I’m an idiot!

And it doesn’t matter what the purchase price of the horse is, even a $500 horse can wind up costing thousands (or ten’s of thousands) in vet/surgery bills if there’s a major problem. Grrrrr!!!

Something to think about, if she charges a $500 restocking fee, if the horse doesn’t pass the vet, that would encourage a lot of people to dump the horse for any amount of money, instead of having to pay her to take back a horse that didn’t pass the vet. Which to some people would mean dumping them at the killers. How is that for helping “slaughter bound” horses.

That “Irish” bred TB was still siring babies in WV in 2004 foaling out in 2005 according to the Jockey Club report… maybe they have a farm in WV? Or they just got the guy.

I LOVE how they’re trying to pass that off as a “service,” I mean, they’ve made it clear that at that point, the horse is yours and one can do whatever one wants with one’s own horse! Yes, but they are so acquiescent…

dehere98 - You say you’ve bought a horse from this operation. Was that your first horse purchase?

And how exactly is insinuating that people who buy horses less than 5 times a year are incompetent and incapable of analyzing the results of a veterinary exam not rude and arrogant?

Another thing.

If their “suppliers” are so willing to make sure this business stays as is and support them, even so far as helping litigate if anyone tries to buy directly from the supplier… then why would the supplier lead a buyer on and attempt to sell to them privately to begin with?

Too much does NOT add up…

It’s written, so it would be libel. The key to libel is that the statement has to be damaging and false. These are taken directly from the dealer’s website.

The only person damaging the person’s reputation is her own self.

It has to be a joke… I can’t think of anybody gullible enough to buy from them, and if some does… well they deserve what they get.
I was thinking it was a site gathering all the weird rules and terms gathered from other websites…

You’d also think that, if the owner truly believes in her business practices, she’d just be happy for all this free advertising. We basically put her whole web page here!

That site is just too bizarre…in a fascinating sort of way…like when you pass a car accident and can’t help but look (and be thankful you aren’t involved). :uhoh:

that is so funny!!!

Loving that website. Loving it.

Check out the second horse on this page: http://www.warmbloods-for-sale.com/SearchResult1.asp?Name=runner

Looks like the same horse at a different price.

I sent an email expressing my disgust…and sent a link to the thread.

Put down the bong!

Well where I live, theres a town called Dildo. Not joking:yes:

As for the site…wow…just wow. How can anyone be so arrogant? Theres something majorly wrong with this lady…

OK, those people are an Official Piece of Work. And this is the only thread I’ve ever read that got posted 3 pages faster than I can read…and I can read really fast…

Maybe they also have a bridge to sell me.

 I’m not one to laugh out loud much when reading. But that was too funny.

LMAO, yes it did!

Okay how about this little gem directed towards potential customers:

“We ask that you are REALISTIC about the intended use of the horse you purchase… For example… if you are a 40 year old woman returning to riding after having had children, now pushing 300lbs, and you evented as a 20 yr old, but not since, it is not really fair to take up more of our time in the sales process finding a trail/lesson horse for you that you hope will someday be your upper level event horse…”

WTF! Are you kidding me??
