County’s anatomic girth comes in sizes up to 62", I believe. (I have a 60" for my mare). They’re pricey, but they hold up well

Shires makes inexpensive but decent fleece girths in 2” increments up to 60”. I got mine from Stateline Tack.

I’ve occasionally seen reasonably priced and good quality girths in large sizes on eBay and other consignment sites, so it might be worth doing a search on there if you haven’t already tried.
It looks like the Bobby’s Signature Series girth is available in 58", though I will say that my 48" I bought used measures 51.5" from buckle to buckle (not sure exactly how much of that is due to stretching from use, but I also believe most of their tack runs large in general). It’s a soft and pliable girth, with pretty fancy stitching! The leather is not quite as luxurious as high end girths, but still nice in both appearance and feel, and the padding is thin, but squishy and comfortable.
Re: Voltaire, my experience is that those run a bit small, like you mentioned about European brands. While 4 of my 48" girths measure about 49.5" from buckle to buckle, my Voltaire Hunter Girth only measures 47". Looks like they go up to 62" from what I saw on their site, but doesn’t look like they have a 60".
Per non-leather options, the Classic Equine Soft Touch appears to be available in 58" as well. I have two of those in 48" and 52", and they seem to run pretty true to size. I’ve also had them for nearly 20 years now and they hold up well! They are also squishy and comfortable feeling.
Greenhawk sells girth extenders (cost around $20). They will add up to 6 inche . If the horse is up for sale, perhaps this stop gap measure will suffice.
the Equifit Essential Schooling girth and the Professional Choice that I have are both 58, really love the Equifit one though. Good luck!!
I have a girth extender, but it’s an imperfect solution as they are so long…hard to make the ergonomic girth centered, but may use it with a straight girth for now.
I ordered a cheap 60" from greenhawk.
A facebook friend brought out a 57" girth for me to look at. It was stamped 145 cm (57") but it was considerably SHORTER than my 56", 143 cm girth. I forget the brand, but it was a high end, butter soft girth…this is the second girth that I have looked at where it is sold as a larger length than it measures…even if you measure end of buckle to end of buckle.
I guess I need to find a store that will actually measure the girth for me, and is in Canada for quick shipping (no risk of being held up in customs).
Do you want a stud girth? I have a giant CWD one for a horse that I don’t have anymore…
no thanks. He is a strange build and I don’t think one would fit him properly/well. I have ordered a cheap one for now - here monday.
A client reminded me of her issues girth shopping - she had the same problem where a girth would be stamped one size, but actually be considerably smaller (54" measured a 50")

Also…it’s a 60"/150cm. 150cm is only 59". Why don’t they just sell it as 59" rather than round up to the more traditional even number of inches? Driving me crazy!
My Draft Horse.com used to have english girths (just fleece lined) in sizes up to 78”. They would measure for you.

I only knew they made saddles? We can buy their saddles. Supposedly a saddle fitter nearby has one…but she is away. She needs to come to my barn asap as she left two saddles with a student, so hopefully she can bring the girth for me to measure. Turns out my horse needs a new saddle anyway, so I might not need a new, larger girth, and can always use the extender to try a new saddle if I do.
Still awaiting a satisfactory reply from the seller of the above girth. They have offered to refund, but I think I will keep it for a lesson horse. I just want to know why tack is mislabled.
I have the essential schooling girth from Equifit with the sheepskin lining and I love it! My favorite girth ever, used to have a Voltaire ergonomic girth and I also have used a straight professional choice girth but the Equifit is great and super cleanable!
