Hey Y’all,
I have owned my horse since he was four, this March at 11, he suddenly started spooking. For no reason that I could see. Not every ride but often enough, just in my little ring where I have ridden him in the pitch black dark with no spook!
I’ve tested for lameness, his gut (he had, had ulcers but the vet only saw a ‘slight irritation and didn’t think that was it), his back. He seemed better then spooks were back again and he unloaded me. I had his eyes tested-they were fine, and drew blood for Lymes and EPM test.
I hate spooks! I’m happy to hear other guesses.
