God bless my farrier. He came to do horse feet and left with Mean Rooster and a couple nice young hens thrown in as a thank you. He’s an experienced chicken guy and I was totally honest about the situation. Yay problem solved!!

I’m so glad to hear the MR got a good home, at least I hope so. He’s not going in the crock pot at the farrier’s house is he? 
Good news, OP, and for the record it doesn’t matter if he ends up in the crock pot. You’ve given him to someone that you trust will treat the rooster humanely–that’s all you owe that roo.

Agreed…I trust my farrier and I think he and his lovely SO will be able to deal with Mr. Roo and if not, they have the experience and skills needed for plan b. Thanks!
