Anatomical dressage legal bridles-general experiences and feed back?

My vet told my daughter that the 3 yr old year is particularly hard on them for mouth discomfort. Baby teeth coming out new ones growing in. He said a lot of 3 yr olds have quite a bit of discomfort in their mouths.

Similar situation, my horse seems fine in his regular bridle but does like to rub his head on his leg, or me after I get off. I don’t think he is in any real discomfort, but I was thinking of replacing his bridle anyways so I wanted to try one and see if we get one that doesn’t sit on some of the facial nerves he might be more comfortable. But apparently I’m very picky because I’m looking for no/removable flash and I don’t like patent, rolled leather, or rhinestones! The only thing I found that matched what I was looking for was the Kavalkade Ivy, and I kind of wanted nicer leather. So I kept looking and finally found exactly what I wanted by Passier! I just got it and haven’t tried it out yet but I’m pretty excited to!

Can you tell me where you found 18-19" browbands? I just need a plain (cheap) one for schooling - the browband on my show bridle is large enough.

Well I received the Harwich Ergo bridle. I will say I am underwhelmed by the leather. It is ok… but bridle is very light, leather seems a bit thin, and it has a very flat, matte finish. Also the ergo noseband sits oddly on my boy, the front of the noseband tips up. It will be going back.

Training Cupid - in your post you said you did not want a flash but the bridle you linked to has a flash. If you took it off, what are you doing about the loop left behind? That bridle matches most of my boys needs, but I don’t want a flash, and don’t want to have to have a flash loop left behind on a 300 bridle. Also, did it come with reins?

I take the flash off, and just live with the loop. Since I like everything else about it to me it’s not a deal breaker. It came with web reins.

You can get the flash loop removed professionally or do “surgery” with an Xacto knife.

Just want to chime in that sometimes the answer doesn’t have to be a fancy anatomical noseband/bridle. My boy has always been fussy, eventually tried a drop noseband (flash vs no flash was the same) and he was a whole new horse. He dislikes pressure on his lower molars. He hated the modified drop noseband with an extra strap to pull the cheek pieces out of his eyes but goes beautifully in a drop or no noseband at all. Drop doesn’t need to be tight but it avoids a lot of the facial nerves that all the anatomical bridles are trying to avoid without breaking the bank or reinventing the wheel.

Because this particular horse also goes in a double so needs a ‘regular’ noseband. I am trying the PS of Sweden Paragon noseband to see if that will make him happier to wear a plain noseband.

My boy def didn’t like the pressure on his lower molars because they are infected. Waiting for vet to give me an apt to have them removed. But I would like new bridle to avoid the areas that were previously sensitive to make life wasy for him.

Has anyone tried the Passier ATlas bridle or the Red Barn Arena bridle? Or maybe the Passier Marcus Ehrning (sp) II bridle?
