I have no idea to what you’re referring, GreenKitty. I honestly did not know Kim Smith had been in the area that long. I frequented Green Pastures a lot from about 2007 until about 2010 when I moved north of town and never encountered her. Maybe I just ignored her?

Yep. But I believe the offending trainer has moved on.
They are still in business and my friend boards there now. Love my friend, but she is probably the most difficult boarder one could have. The kind that watches everything and tells you exactly how dobbin likes his hay positioned etc. if something were wrong, EVERYONE would know about it and she would move her horse. She’s happy there and is pleased with the way the horses are treated. Kim got kicked to the curb shortly after this due to more terrible behavior. I spoke out publicly about it here as I was the only one who didn’t mind my name and face being part of it and Daniela and I have spoken since and cleared the air. I’ve hauled in to use her arena and everything seems lovely and I haven’t heard a single complaint.
The main reason people were were scared to speak up is because they were minors and their parents wouldn’t let them. All these kids were due to go to college and Daniela has lots of money and knows lots of people. Their parents didn’t want it to hinder there ability to ride at other barns. I don’t think Daniela would have EVER done that, but I understood the concern. Daniela is actually a good person. Brash, but good. She does actually love her horses and invests a TON into their well being. What she doesn’t know about (as well) is horse training and trainers. She hires people with pretty elaborate resumes and doesn’t look much deeper than that. Which is how this happened.
