So I just moved down here and left horse up north. I thought there would be a stable or two but I can’t find anything. I really don’t want to drive more than 1 hour to get to ride.
Anyone know of anyplace?

check out flahorse.com and also on facebook. I’m on the east coast, so don’t know about that area, but there are tons of horses east of Sarasota, so there should be something
Thanks. Thats a place to start. I registered on their BB.
flahorse bb used to be just horrible. Full of people who wouldn’t know the front end of the horse from the back end. And more drama than you can shake a stick at.
There used to be a trail riding outfit near Bradenton that took horses to the “beach” to go swimming. I found them at the time while Googling to find a beach that allowed riding in the area (there are no “real beaches” that allow riding in the area, just those intracoastal beaches.)
There are little farmettes 5 minutes from me. An uber fancy 9 million dollar farm for sale too. Wishing for someone with an extra horse that needs riding.
There are a couple dressage groups in the area. I think there is a club down in Sarasota, but I know there is one in lakeland with members towards Sarasota. Maybe email and see if anyone has an extra horse? I know when I lived there I gladly would have lent out one of mine.
You might try them. I have no idea how they are, just stumbled about them when I was looking for something, but the area is beautiful for sure…
Hello there, I live a half hour south of Sarasota and have lived in the area my whole life. I can’t help you with finding a horse to ride but if you ever bring yours down I could recommend barns by me that will take seasonals. I’m in Englewood about a twenty minute drive from Venice. Ive kept my horses at the same barn for years and it is right next to Myakka State Forest which is over 8,000 acres. No trailer necessary. If you are more into Sarasota there is the Myakka State Park, which is even larger. This weekend im going to my first endurance ride a bit further south by Punta Gorda and Arcadia in the Webb Management, over 60,000 acres!
