Anyone buy? sell? adopt? from Brit Le'Brand Farm Warsaw Ohio?

Still waiting

Anyone else still wondering where the success stories are?? All we keep hearing are the sad but true horror stories… and Britney claims that we are slandering her business… hmmmm! She is some sorts of special…

Pray for the ponies

i told her i wanted proof that they passed away…all i keep getting are e-mailes back saying i’m slandering her and i have no rites to my pony anymore, which is crap…i didnt sell them i paid 400.00 hauled them there and gave them to her with the understanding she would keep in contact and then never heard anything of her. she wants to send pics “if” i take down the ads…whitch aint going to happen…i put an add up for my horses needing a forever retirement home, i had to move and they were having sum heath issues but after thousands of dollars i got that undercontroll and she e-mailed me…i thought i cheacked her out good, she was nice and made it sound like she would provide them with a good home, i told her if my situation changed i would take them back, told her to keep in touch and that i wanted to go see them once a mo, but after countless times of her ignoring me i moved, her number got lost and i lost touch, now all the sudden i sold my horses, never called her, and now have no rites…i just keep praying someone has my wonderful mares and that i can get my pony back and she gets stoped…i’m a good example of how she gets her “top of the line” horses and why she sells them the way she does, i bet she dont even have my pony, thats why she said i cant come see him 4 myself that she would mail pics and info.

The plot thickens

Well I just spoke with the mare’s owner prior to B. The mare was “donated to a theraputic riding school”. To be kept there for life. Previous owner is not very happy with B:no: Mandy’s story about B not returning phone calls and e mails sound exactly as Previous owners!! PO (Previous Owner) was glad to hear that the mare was still alive and has a good home. My friend will be in touch with PO and send pictures etc.
This is just unbelievable. I have learned sooooo much from reading this and the SWAP thread. What an eye opener.
What happened to honesty? When your word and a hand shake meant more than a written contract. Oh but obviously those written contracts are not worth s&*t either.

Research help

Does anyone viewing this thread have access to the Jockey Club or anyone with the privilege of researching a tattoo number from a TB? I would love to find out the history of the TB that was sold to me and then promptly returned to Britney. I am sure he has a story to tell as well.

I have found out the racing history and breeding based on the tatoo # of horses I’ve had. Try equineline.com I think that’s the site. If you go to the jockey club website a link is provided. There may be a small fee. I do think the stories behind the horses she "adopts/sells"are the key. That would be the trail to follow especially after hearing Amanda from PA’s story. I’d love to know the history of the horse I purchased/adopted from her. No tatoo–not even quite certain he’s a full TB as represented.

So it sounds like she gets horses “donated” then turns around and adopts them out. Do they have a legit Theraputic Riding Program?

Dont forget

Just wanted to encourage everyone to please follow up with Lt. Bill Cobel on their cases.

Swampskeeter

“B” doesnt have a legit anything… rescue or riding program.:o

If they do, BLB Farm has NEVER advertised as having one. There is a legit therapeutic riding program in Coshocton Co. that is run by Tom and Peggy Roahrig- he and his staff do a lot of GOOD for the community:yes:. I think it’s called “Higher Hopes Therapeutic Riding Center” and guess what? THEY have a REAL website!

Trailqueen,
Does there web site mention B? I know the PO of my friends horse was very concerned as to the lets call it non profit, as you can write off donations, what do I what to say here? Legality?

I scanned “Higher Hopes” site and it does not mention an association with BLB Farm. The PO can always contact Tom and ask, either by email or phone.

i just talked to LT. Kobel…apparently her uncle is a dective for coshocton co. and he said she does NOT have a theripudic ridding program of any kind, so that means she missrepresented herself and her farm to me to get my horses in the first place ! thats just crazy, who would do something like that…there is a chance i can get my pony back, but i have to send a cirtified letter and they will give me a police escort to the farm to get him after i send her the letter with a date and such on it…he said most likley she will surrender him back to me b/c she dont like to tangle with the police and stuff there !!! i’m just keeping my fingers crossed !!! keep praying for buddy to come home. and with anyluck my mares wont be dead either just sold to a loving home though i got the feeling i will never know what really happened to them.

Amanda

Good Luck getting your pony back. I will keep you in my prayers and hope everything will turn out for you. Please keep us updated!

Include the request for the return of your mares in your certified letter. The burden of proof is on her to prove that the mares are in fact dead. If they have been rehomed, state in the letter that you require the release of accurate contact information for the people who have possession of your horses. It may be best to have a lawyer write it for you, so that it can be direct, thorough and without emotion. If you write the letter yourself, please keep it professional and use spell check, as that will reflect best on you in case the situation progresses.

well i just talked to my friend who is a lawyer, he is going to write the letter up for me to mail her so it is all worded rite and all that good stuff, so with any luck it will bei n the mail within the week !!! i came across this cool thing that made me cry like a baby but it was touching at the same time…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCdZwitrNoY

good idea!

Katie-Nicole that seems like a very good idea for Amanda to include the two mares in the “official letter” Accountability, as to where these horses she “sells/adopts” actually come from and go to would play a huge part in unraveling Britney’s knot of deceit…
Best wishes Amanda that all goes exceedingly well-your pony returned and perhaps the “real” whereabouts of your other two horses or a veterinary confirmation that they really did pass on…

subpoena

Mandy can you have your lawyer friend subpoena her records? That seemed to make her back down when Hampsire did it. If you need someone with you, when you go, I am in Ohio, Akron/Canton area. Close to I77. Don’t go alone. I have never meet or talked to B. Only a friend of mine got me in this.
I have a feeling things are going to take a turn for B:eek:

i will ask him how and what i have to do to get them, i can probably only request the records concerning my horses though…he said.

Has anyone with a dog in this fight suggested to the sheriff in Coshocton County that y’all go to the States Attorney General of Ohio and file complaints against this woman??? I mean if the fraud is this rampant–it sounds like many people have been sucked into this mess…

Aside from that–don’t people research where their animals are going and doesn’t anyone do a vet check before taking these horses off this woman’s property??? This is nuts!!!

when i sent my horses there i did check her our, she was very nice, her farm was in good condition and she had records of all the horses there. i thought she was a nice woman and she was for the first week then i never heard from her again.
