i just talked to LT. Kobel…apparently her uncle is a dective for coshocton co. and he said she does NOT have a theripudic ridding program of any kind, so that means she missrepresented herself and her farm to me to get my horses in the first place ! thats just crazy, who would do something like that…there is a chance i can get my pony back, but i have to send a cirtified letter and they will give me a police escort to the farm to get him after i send her the letter with a date and such on it…he said most likley she will surrender him back to me b/c she dont like to tangle with the police and stuff there !!! i’m just keeping my fingers crossed !!! keep praying for buddy to come home. and with anyluck my mares wont be dead either just sold to a loving home though i got the feeling i will never know what really happened to them.[/QUOTE]
Include the request for the return of your mares in your certified letter. The burden of proof is on her to prove that the mares are in fact dead. If they have been rehomed, state in the letter that you require the release of accurate contact information for the people who have possession of your horses. It may be best to have a lawyer write it for you, so that it can be direct, thorough and without emotion. If you write the letter yourself, please keep it professional and use spell check, as that will reflect best on you in case the situation progresses.
