Anyone Dye a Mane?

Here’s the rule:

(Exception: Arabian and Half/Anglo Arabian halter, see AR106; Reining Division; Friesian Division; Paso Fino, see PF101.3). Only clear grooming materials are allowed on the hide and hair. yep…my stallion has a huge thick forelock and tail (he’s KWPN but has spanish type hair!) and the very tips of both bleach dull brown.

i use ammonia free natural black and wrap the forelock in foil and the tail in a plastic bag, leave for about 20mins and rinse the forelock in an old milk jug until the water runs clear then towel dry and tail just under the hose or in a large bucket.

i did train him to accept the foils bag and milk jug before i actually used the dye, you dont want that stuff running down their face or staying on too long because they wont let you rinse!
