Anyone else have eager "helpers"

Love all these stories! Aren’t horses so clever and sassy. :joy:

I have a fetch obsessed dog who thinks cleaning stalls is a waste of time (that would be better spent throwing balls for her) so she tries to get my attention by constantly dropping her ball into the wheelbarrow. She does the same thing when I’m loading the hay wheelbarrow or filling water buckets.

My girl also loves to get up in my business while I’m using the corner of her stall.

My older girl will make it her mission to stand between me and the wheelbarrow while I’m picking paddocks. Every time I move myself or the wheelbarrow I’m forced to go the long way 'round.

When I was a kid, I spent one summer working at Ian Millar’s farm. Big Ben’s stall was alway open with a stall guard across the front. If a broom was within reach, he’d often grab it and sweep the area in front of his stall. I think I have a photo of that somewhere.

My mini does that! Has no interest in a wheelbarrow until it’s full!

Spud would help out cleaning his turnout. He’d poke around in the wheelbarrow, take the fork out of my hand and swing it around, follow me to the next pile and repeat. It’s a wonder I got anything done!

Definitely has the innocent look perfected.
