Anyone else muzzle their dog in public?

It’s not that my delicate constitution can’t handle it, we all let one fly here and there. It just seems excessive and unnecessary and it’s discouraged on the forum. As a rather new poster, I’d hate to see dungrulla get in trouble if he/she didn’t know it was frowned upon here.
I’m looking here and still can’t find it:

http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/announcement.php?f=95&a=23

It’s listed as vulgarity being not allowed, but that’s not the same as swearing.

The word “vulgarity” is subjective - most people regard profanity as being vulgar, however. I suspect this word was chosen with the intention of allowing some mild profanity while giving a reasonable basis for discouraging or forbidding extensive or extreme swearing.

As someone who really is quite fond of profanity in some instances, I have experienced a certain level of editing in the past on COTH, so I think it’s safe to say the forum does indeed frown upon more than infrequent mild curses.

I’ve only been edited upon when I swore AT someone in particular. In this instance I swore at my dog/no one in particular. I think the two are rather different. JMO

Last I checked there’s no rule here against profanity. If you don’t want to read any there are horse forums that DO have this rule but I see 0 problem with me cursing at no one in particular. Words are only offensive if you let them be.
You have only been here for a minute. Are you sure this is how you want to play it?

I’m not unhappy about the potential biting believing. I am unhappy about people accusing me of cruelty for putting a muzzle on my dog AND for insinuating I shouldn’t have a neutralized animal in public.
Things you can control: What you think.
Things you cannot control: How other people think.

I suggest more effort spent on learning how not to let what other people think bother you so much. I mean you are halfway there on the lack of concern with other people’s thoughts with regard to language, be it vulgar or otherwise, right?
