Am I the only one still waiting for THIS years foals?? One more to go and (silly me) I thought since it is summer she might foal early. Ha,ha,ha,ha… Bel Etrice has foaled at day 332 five years in a row. Today is day 327 poor girl is as big as a whale with total Jell-O butt, tail like limp spaghetti with a huge rock hard bag. It has been so hot and humid I just feel terrible for her!
Anyone else still in the holding pattern?
Me! My first, she’s at the foaling farm now and I am going mad!

Me too. I have a Wamberto foal due the 18th out of Rhea-Rite (Corland-Jalisco B-Beaujolais). I can almost guarantee she’ll be pretty late!
I’ve got a Cor Noir out of one of my Friesian mares due the 23rd! She’s HUGE! I can’t wait!

Waiting here. My Westcoast daughter is due for her first the 25th of this month. She is so huge… I am starting to feel sorry for her now. But she was the one who has been difficult to get in foal, so she will just have to tough it out in the heat.

We are still waiting too for our Willow mare to have her Quaterback. She is day 336 today, waxed up and HUGE. Her pasture buddy just had her Romanov foal day before yesterday so hopefully that kick starts things!
Yup. Got a maiden “due” on June 27. But she is at a foaling out/breeding facility so I’m not personally losing any sleep. 
Except for, you know, generalized anxiety reasons.

Got friends waiting for a Diamond Hit/Contucci foal and a Royal Prince/Weltmeyer foal - one due any day, the other due end of the month. Was going to add another friend but her Rousseau/Sandro Hit colt just arrived.
Two more to go here also…one is late July…
I am happy to read this… I just made the decision to send a mare to be bred this week and have a case of “the doubts”… glad to see others breed late.

I think it is why my mares breed so late in their lives…in my climate it is just the “natural”** time for this and it makes it easier on them
** and I hate that word:)

Waiting for Romanov twins over here. This was an embryo transfer–and my mare ended up twinning. Looks like one recipient mare is getting close, the other one…not much. They’re at a foaling facility–thank heavens. I’m going crazy.
WOW!! Way more still waiting than I thought! I am hoping to breed Bel again this year if she ever foals We have some major tail swishing and fanny pressing going on now. Maybe tonight…LOL!!! I manage dressage shows and I have a schooling show on Saturday and a two day recgonized show next weekend. What do you think the chances are Bel will foal during one of the shows?
I am currently on foal watch. My TB mare Emma who is by Viscount is in foal to Ironrule. I have been on foal watch 11 days now. She is into high drama.

I just went out and did night check, Bel was munching away. I come back in and glance at the cam, she is flat out. Really looks like she may be sleeping, that was fast. Hmmmm.

I am curious about the dam’s breeding. My friend’s Romanov colt is now two days old and is SO bold and people oriented…and very much stamped by his sire.
Heh… just found out mine’s due in mid-August. :eek: (FWIW, I didn’t breed her)
