Scary when MMB is your “reserve” rider that gets called up at the last minute.
Is this part of the team competition? Or just a qualifier - all start again at 0 for team?
Nope. There are 30 with less than 4 and 28 left to go. top 60 plus ties move on. 4’s are safe. If my math doesn’t fail.
Yes - I guess you’re right. It’s too early!!

There should not be this many clears. 10% should be the max. Here it is 50%?
Is any site keeping a running tally of the scores?
All this round is intended to do is weed out individuals who shouldn’t be here and establish order of go for the teams. the fences and courses will get much harder later!
Did you see that MMB’s groom had a horse cookie waiting for her horse when they exited the ring? This is quite common in SJ.
I call it the “Will jump for cookies” training method.
:lol::lol::lol:
There are 32 on 4faults or less with 26 left to go.
4 faulters will go through.

Nice to know I have something in common with the Olympians!
Edwina has been the top rider o n the Global Champions Tour for 2 years now. Not number one in Rolex/FEI standings for 2 years.
Bella Donna just went for her. It was so cute. You, treat lady, c’mere!

It is an individual qualifier, but it also determines the order of go in the team comp (worst goes first, best goes last).
Even if a rider does not qualify individually, they still go ahead and jump in the team rounds (rounds 2 and 3).’
The individuals who are not part of the team also will have to jump in the team rounds, as the accumulated score from the first three rounds will be used to determine who goes into the final individual round (round 4a and 4b).
this Swiss horse… WOW!!
The very small henge under the last jump reminds me of spinal tap. Where are the dancing leprechauns!
Classy ride and lovely horse for the Swiss there.
Anyone know how many from this round qualify individually? On the London site everyone up to 5 faults has a “Q”

Looks like the 5 faulters will also advance at this point.
Love Itot. I have a soft spot for big hearted small horses!

The top 60, including ties… which means more than 60 will advance if their are riders tied. The 5 faulters are tied on 39. There are 21 riders left to go. So even if all the remaining riders jump clear, the 45 faulters will be tied on 60 and will all advance.
Go Rich!
DOUBLE CLEAR FOR FLEXIBLE!
