Oops!
great horse for still jumping out of that combination!
Argentine rider is an Amateur. That’s nice to see.
Damning with feint praise…loved the British announcer describing the last rider’s results as “amazing, considering he only rides three times a week…” Kind of a contrast to most Olympic athletes, don’t ya think? Bet the horse goes more than three times a week!!
Great ride by the last Japanese rider.
So all four germany riders have gone, finishing with 1 fault in total. Any other countries have their total first round scores? And do these score hold any significance other then order of go?
ETA: I guess I’m really wondering if any countries have finished without any faults at all. I’m scanning the results but don’t see any so far.
ETA (again): So does Germany have five riders then? Or is it just too early for my brain to be online…
MY TRAINER COMING UP AFTER AHLMANN!!! (Carlos Milthaler for Chile).
Crossing fingers!!!
Well…come to think of it…if he goes well, his training fees will skyrocket!
Kind of a catch 22 here…hmmmm
There’s the Gold medal winner right there… Bengtsson.
You heard it here first.
Ohh, ohh
Yaaaaaahooooo! Only 4 faults…and darn! Up goes my training budget!
Well done to Faraway’s trainer!!!

Germany has five. The last one just got 15 faults.
These scores determine order of go for the teams, which start at 0 tomorrow. Also, they determine qualifications for top 60 individuals, 35 of which will start at 0 after the team rounds.

Lol your trainer’s horse certainly earned his sugar cubes.
So the 6 faulters are also going to go through now.
I am not at all impressed with the last German rider, Christian Ahlmann. He was casual, and missed at the last combo, his horse was reaching so badly over the first oxer(A) that he almost swam, and then, after the horse stops for self-preservation at B, he hits him well after he’d turned around…poor horsemanship annoys me.
Was McLain clear? Saw Reed’s round.

Yeah, the guy came across of a bit of a d!ck. See-sawed him backwards after the round too.

We rode together in Argentina until our 20’s. Then he left for London to pursue his career in commodities trading. He took up riding in his mid 30’s, after he established himself in his businesses.
He rides three times a week but has his horses trained, hacked and pampered by top notch eauropean pros that keep his horses in shape. He flies into wherever the shows are and does his thing.
So, there is hope for us struggling, working, rerider amateurs, right?
He’s our Cinderella!!! hehehe
