Anyone in MO? Relocated?

I think I’ll take you up on the visit, I’d love to make it to the stallion testing this year as well!
You darn well better! I’ll be expecting SOME support <lol>…Good luck with the move and if we can help in any way, just give us a call!

Kathy, it sounds like a plan! My husband is a photographer, would he be allowed to take pictures (I know he would be drawn to the spotted horse ;))

You already have helped!! Putting me in touch with Hillside  what a great great person/facility!

What, after over 7 or so years of chatting together we would finally get to meet!!! Yah! Would I get to see Jinx too??
LOL, you bet. Jinx will be showing at some of the hunter/jumper shows this year at Lamplight. Will find out the date of the Irish inspection and put it on my calendar.

Well, looks like it’s definitely going to happen - yipes! I’m excited, just stressing about all the things that need to be done in double time!

For those of you that have moved, could you recommend moving companies? I posted this in “around the farm” but I’ve only had one real-life recommendation so far, Mayflower. We have a compact tractor + its equipment + furnature + things like roundbale feeders/jumps + 4 horses. Some of the stuff I’m thinking about selling vs hauling off.

Jilltx - tell me all about it!!! I need some sanity for someone who just went thru it!
Done it twice, to WA from OK with 11 horses and from WA to OK with 6 horses.
Both moves were do-it-yourself, as I was military and could make pretty good money by not using a moving company.
We invested in a couple of flatbed trailers and moved the equipment, a panel arena and all the other big stuff, 50hp tractor.
Went back and got the horses, one drove truck/trailer, another a moving van with a stock BP trailer.
Used the online horse stabling website Overnight Equine stabling.
I dont know if it was worth moving all that stuff, but since we were getting raw land both times it really saved on cash needed just to get horses situated and things functioning.
My new husband and I are hoping to move in two years. This time will be with 4-5 horses but no real farm stuff. I’m looking at Stillwater, Tulsa and Lawton, OK. I may also look around Joplin, Carthage and Jeff City. I’ve been up there for shows and almost went to Medical School in Columbia. I love it up there but my husband is a native from Phoenix and not sure he could handle all the wet weather up in Jeff City.
One thing about that area, you won’t lack for wildlife and natural springs are everywhere. I remember flocks of wild turkey all over the place, tons of deer.
