Anyone spend time at WEC Ocala for winter circuit?

I had understood it to be a Whole Foods 365. So their smaller version of WF. There have been rumors of TJ but nothing on their website and I’ve seen no press mention it. yet.

My intel comes from a friend who lives in Ocala. She mentioned it when we were visiting WEC. But she could be wrong. And TJ’s can be weird about deciding where to open and how to relay the news.

We had both near school and I would often stop at one or the other to get something to eat later. I preferred the options and prices at TJ but WF365 had the better parking lot and good soup.

You guys are incredible! Thanks for everyone’s feedback. I’m still playing with numbers, but it looks like all in (don’t keep reading if you don’t want to know LOL) everything included will be in the $20-23k CAD range for about 4 weeks. That includes shipping, personal expenses, a budget for vet/other services, and planning for the worst case (buying all hay/shavings there, etc). A little daunting, but I’m still planning to go 2026.

I wanted to add that they let you drop same day without a fee. The office told me last winter they encouraged people to add then drop over late adds for what it is worth.

I hope, if you can swing the expense without issue, you go and have a great time! It looks like a very fancy place to show.

Of course we’d be happy to see some of your horsey photos if you’ll share them. :slightly_smiling_face:

ETA I do remember reading online, a heads up to people who are staying in the hotel rooms with the views of the big Jumper ring. “Don’t watch the jumpers from your room when you’re naked. We can see you”. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yep… definitely enter all the classes and drop as you go.
I do think that the derby has an additional fee that they keep, so just be aware if you enter the derbies, I think there’s like a $25 fee that they keep if you drop.
