My coming 5yo mare doesn’t have the best posture. It’s improved tremendously since I’ve owned her and as with all things, gets better with varied, correct work and stretching/massage therapy. But when she is taped on her hindquarters or SI, the difference in how she stands is immediate! She doesn’t typically stand square but with tape on she’s standing square at least 60% of the time. My current theory is that the increased proprioception helps her be more aware of her limbs so her posture improves. Not sure.
Can KT tape actually change the way they move or have long term effects on their posture like some say it can?
