APHA people, can you help?

It’s another one of those threads. Honestly, I may be totally making up his registered name, but I seem to remember we registered him “Redeemers Bold Eagle”. He was by Royal Black Eagle out of a mare who’s name is skipping me.

He was the first colt I ever had as a kid, and I helped train him until he was 4 (or 5). My mom then purchased me an Arabian and we sold him to someone in another state (Ohio? Iowa? IDK).

Just wondering if there was a chance of finding him.
I like to reminisce and check up on horses if I can, and I have found just about everyone but him (and an old event horse who was never registered to my knowledge that we sold in Memphis).

There’s no performance record for him on the APHA site, no progeny listed (also no notation that he’d been gelded). Ownership doesn’t show up on their site unless there’s a performance record and you can investigate based on who’s showing him.

I wish APHA was like AQHA so you could see who was the owner. That is okay though. At least I still kind of know he is around. And holy crap-ola!

I forget it was the 99’ when we got him. I remember him laying on my lap when he came into my mom’s vet clinic because he wasn’t suckling off mom. We cuddled for hours after they force fed him. Then my mom bought him for me as a weanling. I will never forget getting dragged around and wearing my chaps and cowboy hat to ever halter breaking session. We did have him gelded, so that must have been after papers were sent in and never updated.

OP - there are a lot of paint horse people on the Pleasure Horse forum. You might want to post there, now that you have more details confirmed, and see if anyone knows of him.

In the past I’ve had luck contacting APHA with any info I had on the horse and they put me in contact with the owner or at least gave me a name so that I could track them down. If you are listed on his papers as former owners or breeders it might make it easier.
