Hunt Coat
Ralph Lauren has had some really close to correct tweed coats. I got one off of ebay for pretty cheap.

Or you could…
Or…you can go to the newly released Foxhunters Special Edition catalog from Horse Country Saddlery in our town and get a tweed for $450-$775!!!:eek::eek::eek: Yowza!! Thats the way to go!!! Unless you’re me!! Just my luck ole Dobbin would get green slime on the sleeve the first time I wore it. Yup!
Speaking of the above…it’s just fabulous! Mine is all drooled all over but when I can read it…did ya notice the return of FLARED breeches for ladies! Many of them!!! Yeeeehaaaa! Big poofy pants hide cellulite for those of you who don’t know that!! I’m saving up for a pair. Will no doubt make my butt look smaller!!
I was just browsing through the Horse Country Saddlery Catalog. Yowza is right! Ya I know if I spent that kind of cash on a tweed jacket, I’d be in the mud before the day was over.
And if I can go off topic for a moment, Is that Rita Mae Brown who is modeling the red hunt coat? I was checking out her web site the other day and boy they look a lot alike.
Nope!
Nope! Thats Halle Woodbury (sp?)!! A local foxhunter extraordinaire! And that big bay horse is hers too I believe! Some of their models are local regular foxhunters…you see…ALL us Virginny hunters are THAT good lookin’!!! But Halle is beeyoooteeeful! Nice in one who’s not a teenager if you get my drift. Anyway, she’s classic!
It’s nice to see true horse people modeling. It’s all that fresh air and stirrup cups that keep every one smiling:cool:
A couple of peple mentioned getting non-horsey tweed etc coats for riding, and I’ve found the problem with them is the buttons usually start too low. This leads to bunching at the front. They are also not usually tailored enough - you might spend the difference on alterations, to be honest.
