Shortly after we were married, I persuaded Mr. Frugal to don tan breeches, boots and a tweed jacket for the Myopia Hunter Pace (non-jumping division). We on our two tall chestnut mares were joined by a friend with her tall chestnut gelding, all dressed the same way. Much to Mr. Frugal’s amusement, we won “Best Matched” blue ribbons.
