Arena Mirrors
This is how the arena mirrors are done in the arena we use.

“Your wall should be constructed just above your kickboard (4’ from the ground) and must not be tilted. Once the mirrors are up, you will be able to see everything you need to from anywhere in the arena”

We have absolutely no problem.

I think they followed the plan of a well known dressage rider in Pa’a mirrors.
Very timely post as I am just now looking into installing mirrors in my indoor. But I must ask tthee questions: 1. how large is your indoor?
2. Are your mirrors installed on the long or the short sides?
3. If on the long sides, can you see the horse’s feet when you start at the opposite end and ride towards the mirror? Like when you are looking for shoulder in or leg yield…

TIA

Arena 200x70. Installed on short side. And feet are visible from everywhere.

Gigantic Mirrors just informed me they no longer install mirrors in horse arena…after I spent $1500 getting the wood backing installed and giving them a $900 deposit. No phone call, nothing. I called to verify the installation and they said “we don’t do that”. Gee, thanks.

I asked the BO, Theirs were installed with the bottom of the mirror about 4 feet above the footing. Not tilted. I know I can see feet from anywhere.

It was done by a local glass company, who seemed and was very knowledgeable.
