Ariat vs Wrangler jeans?

I have the same issue. I’m a 2, short and pretty curvy. I bought a pair of 26S Ariats and they fit okay but gap in the waist like yours do. Even for being a short they’re still long.

The best luck I have had are with Wrangler Retro Sadies. They’re a low rise, which is great for me because I’m short so anything mid rise is just a hair too high and makes wearing a belt difficult. Rod’s Western Wear carries them in a variety of different colors and sub-styles.

I absolutely HATE my Wranger jeans. They are sized weird, they stretch out and they don’t fit nicely. To give you an idea of my size… my Ariats are between a size 3 and 5 waist (depending on the time of year) and a 34" inseam. I have one pair of Wranglers that is a size 5. They fit in the waist for the first day and then stretch out to the point that I fear losing them by walking down the street. The thighs stretch so much that they’re baggy. Knowing this, I bought another pair of Wranglers in a size 3. They are even larger than my size 5’s. .

I once bought three pairs of Wranglers, all labeled as the same size/inseam/cut, on the same day from the same store. None of them was even close to the same size. There was a 6" variation in waist size and over 4" difference between the shortest inseam and longest one. :mad:
