He’s giving a clinic at Gladstone the weekend before, maybe you can make that one.

Jane, do you have any more info on the Gladstone Clinic? Also, where do I get info on how to “register” for next years clinic? I know you have to do it well in advance. I was interested in riding in the 3 foot section at hunterdon next year. Im so excited to know i might have a chance to audit it first! thanks!!

TBHunter: you can contact Sally Ike @908-234-1251 for the Gladstone clinic. If you’re interested in riding in next year’s clinic, I would start calling Hunterdon in september, as both the Gladstone and Hunterdon clinics are usually the second and third weekends in Nov.

That’s really neat. What kind of self-deprecating comments did he make?

coreene, could you spare me having to look it all up. Do you have the dates and fees for auditing GM at the Oaks? I thought is was Dec 12, 13, 14, mid week, is that correct? Now I am really torn. Anne K is the 15, 16, 17. Somehow I don’t think I could pull off the whole week of auditing. Even if time would allow my brain would be mush!!!

I too am so glad to hear the positive again. I still cannot believe that someone as astute as GM could be so awful to so many and still live to tell. I think I hear sour grapes.

And Nylar I have always said I could have my husband stand in the middle and tell me how nice I look and I don’t have to pay him.(well not money )What is with all the whining at clinics? I thought I was paying this expert to work my a$$ off.

Glad you had a good experience, especially since my daughter will be riding in the Hunterdon clinic. She is very excited and of course nervous. She is reading his book in prep. for questions.
The clinic was filled at the 3 ft. section even before the mailings went out but GM was kind enough to add a session for the local people so we out of towners could come in for the weekend.
Only thing is my daughter is insisting that she and her mare need new clothes for the event(we must have the well dressed and coordinated mare… and oh well , I had promised her TS’s anyway…daughter not horse
of course)
Anyway, we have 4 riders from our barn doing from 3’ to 4’3(over 40 rider , scared s…s)along with the entourage of moms and trainers. Should be fun… I hear there’s a great mexican restaurant with wonderful margaritas! After sitting in the cold all day I’m sure I’ll be ready for some quacamole and a frozen margarita.I’ll let you all know how it went (not til Nov. 17,18,19).

if you do go we will be the mom and daughter with the little black mare named British Lass.Say hello. We can huddle together for warmth. Jenny said dress warm and bring a blanket! Maybe we’ll hit an unseasonable warm spell!

Ponymom, definitely bring a blanket…a very warm one if you have. Last year was unusually warm and they were able to leave the arena doors opened, but the previous year it was so cold even the portable heaters they supplied didn’t help.

Sure thing Trooper, you will see me there at least Saturday with my “all in ones” and my equally horrible light blue blankie.LOL
