Baby Green Hunter Moment VIDEO UPDATE on p 10
She really does, barnbum.

Great post meup.

BTW, what’s the scoop on your user name? I’ve always wondered…
It is the first line of an e. e. cummings poem:

Me up at does

out of the floor
quietly Stare

a poisoned mouse

still who alive

is asking What
have i done that

You wouldn’t have

wow.

that one’s gonna sit with me awhile…

i like it, but it hurts too.

Wow, I never would’ve guessed that. It’s going to totally change how I “hear” your screenname in my head.

(p.s. nice post and good on ya for taking the high road.)
OK barnbum.

Obviously I have hurt you in our previous interaction on this bulletin board.

So I would like to apologize.
I should have been kinder and I wish I had been.

If you are ever in TX you and your daughter are welcome to come ride my horses. The red one remains off limits because he is tricky, but I have a nice Children’s Hunter that would surely be happy to show your daughter a lovely time.
You are both welcome any time.
Hurt no, angered and shocked in my first posting away from the breeding forum, yes. I’m sure there are people on this forum much more deserving of your apology.

It is nice of you to apologize though, and thanks for the offer but my daughter has three of her own to ride, and I have two more of my own, not to mention the worlds sweetest welsh stallion to care for. If you know anyone needing a hunter pony though…

Anyway, people talk privately around here and you have offended a good number of people who aren’t as thick skinned and self assured as I. Sometimes we all need to look at ourselves and check our opinion filters, most times there are nicer ways to say things. I hope you’ll consider that in the future.

I’m pretty sure, no, actually, positive (because other people talk privately too. surprising, I know.), these same words can also apply to you.

Sigh.

Christina, great work with the redhead.

Now I finally know. I have always wondered what your screen name meant. Cool poem.

Very gracious post.

Hence me saying “we all” Jesus. My posts elsewhere speak for themselves anyway, I am the farthest thing from an internet bully.

So is the exchange your business? If so you have a funny way of advertising it, considering your continued negativity and name calling I sure know where I won’t be referring people, or spending my advertising dollars

The Exchange is my business, and I am forever watching my tongue around here. Feel free to check out the post history. I am very conscious of the link in my signature, and I am confident in my professionalism across the entire internet.

Which just goes to show how far over the line I think you step. You’ve dragged something quite rare out of me indeed. In fact, there are many times I consider quipping back at meupatdoes for some of her quick-handed remarks, but I do not. I believe her to be overly callous at times, but not petty and mean.

Petty and mean, and moreso the refusal to DROP IT (which I’m admittedly sucking at right now), is apparently my trigger.

Wait a minute…

I thought this thread was all about me.

Oh great sages of the universe that is COTH, please direct me on how to make this thread all about me.

Clearly non jokes were not the solution.

If I can’t take control of this thread, Meup - can I at least ride your ponies?

Of course!
Mr. Alph loves new friends.

Hunters, dressage, trail …take your pick!

I see there is a lot of differing thoughts…

IMHO - He looks very immature and not ready to show or even be jumping much. He may be five but looks like he has a lot of growing yet to do. If he were mine I would ride him dressage for a bit - do LOTS of turn out let him grow up a bit; maybe trailer to shows and walk him around to get comfortable without the pressure of showing…

Edited to add - I was reading through the other posts and sorry if my thoughts are off base and was not to be discussed - He looks like a late bloomer even if he’s 16 1 maybe he will be 17 hands when he’s done?? :))

Are you responding to the old video or the current video on p 10?

Either way, he is pasture boarded so he gets turn out 24/7, and as for his dressage he is qualified for his local GMO championships at First Level and Prix Caprilli with scores of high 60s/low 70s, consistently getting high point score for the show.
In January he will start qualifying for Regionals at first level in rated competition and going to schooling shows at second level. Poor horse does much more dressage than he would like; he prefers to lope around the sticks.:lol:

If you were responding to the old video it is funny, your advice is exactly what we happen to have done and wouldn’t you know it appears to be working.

OHHH LOL… I edited to add that I would be sorry if things were off base… ((ooppps))…

I watched the first video… I will check out the updated one.

But sooo glad to hear things are going well. I enjoy this board because I really do learn so much from everyone. I love watching the videos posted… and discussing what’s going on.

Having a few young guys at one time myself being a quiet, patient rider is not only difficult but necessary. I like a saying that I found recently -

Soft hands, strong legs and a steady mind - equestrian!!

THANK YOU. Someone needed to say it.
They don’t usually allow me into the cities but when they send me for special training, I always sneak away to the internets cafes to read coth to find modern methods to train my warponies for freedom fighting.

I am a brave fighter, but too shy til now to write anything. But I practive my English. But you are always so very sensitive and so very very intelligent and your coth friends are so loyal, following you everywhere on the forums to support you in your special cause.

Just reading your post move me to express my admire and salute you.

Do you think Mr. Pat Parelli with come here to PNG to teach us his majik? Our cause is freedom and he is from Texas is he not? I see pictures of him in his Texas hat. We in PNG love Texas because it is so free.

Guerilla,
PNG

See, and I always figured it referred to your schedule when you were in law school.

Have followed most of this saga - I’m mostly a lurker to this board, and admittedly a greenie myself (re-rider), but I think he’s adorable. I think he needs more forward, but IMO, its better than the reverse and a young horse is going hell-bent over jumps at lightening speed!

I agree that a crop would have been handy but I also understand your thinking with the dressage whip. Its so much quicker to deliver a reminder tap with that than to put the reins in one hand and smack with the jumping bat.

My pony is kept at home and my “arena” is a field that I set jumps up in. I can really only put about 3-4 in before its too crowded. However, it does help get those nice tight turns! I trailer out to my trainer’s for more serious work. And I’m headed to my first jumper show in about 4 years next month and the course will be our “training” since I don’t get to do full courses at home.

Also felt like mentioning - the OP’s horse appears to be physically immature but then I edited a video of my own, and it appears that sometimes when you capture video it makes everything look super skinny!?! Anyone else notice this? Look at the other horse coming out of the gate in her video (the first one) - that horse looks young and gangly too.

Yup. We had a mare that was really coarse and clunky, but videos made her look downright ladylike. I think it’s just 2D, so it makes them look flat and lose that little bit of “wow” in their way of going and expression.

Meupatdoes: I always thought your name was just a fancy foreign word that my little bumpkin self didn’t understand :o:lol:
