Back up camera for hitching gooseneck trailer

I think it’s all aluminum? I’ll have to see if there’s anything magnetic going on but good idea!

Watched my husband reverse the truck almost into the spare tire under the gooseneck today as I yelled STOP!!! And he had it in the perfect spot, the hitch just dropped right on. I have decided he is an idiot savant who should always hook up the trailer

My husband bought me a Swift Hitch for my birthday. I plan to hook it up so I don’t hurt his feelings  But honestly, my hitch guide is a pool noodle! I cut it down a bit, and had to cut either side of the central hole so it would fit over the hitch (then reinforced that with duct tape. It’s great! I can see it from the cab of my crew cab 3500 Ram with an 8’ bed. And I just line it up, back up until I tip over the noodle and voile! It’s a $3 fix worth trying !

I have a mirror mounted to the trailer post. I can watch it as I reverse. . I lay a lead rope on the bed of the truck so I can line up at the start. Under $80
