I’ve had more serious injuries to myself falling on my own two feet - living in the Middle East and falling on hot surfaces when it was 95+ - than I’ve had falling on ice and snow in the Northeast! Even though I was there only 6 years, and in New York, Connecticut, or Maine the rest of the time.
And the thing is, you do fall fast, unexpectedly. That heat must just create slick layers below the surface that you don’t expect to be there.
Only time I’ve fallen on asphalt up here was on a runaway horse as a kid. :rolleyes:
