I was watching the BBC live broadcast. Ian Stark et al did mention the hold (a number of times), although they didn’t have any information on it. They said they thought it was ‘Alex’s horse’ but there’d been no reports of a fall so they weren’t sure what was going on. The hold happened on the long gallop between fences 27/28 and seemed to be in a spot without camera coverage.
This was not the typical injury situation on XC so the flow of information was not as usual.
