Here’s an informative link. Animal welfare activist? You be the judge. My personal suspicion is this has more to do with his gambling activities.
Ooops! Mara found it first, Post 31

I assume they/he/she has him mixed up with Barclay Tagg,
I think you are safe from getting a million PMs. Any logical person is not going to believe that post.
If you notice my “joined” date, it’s because way back in the thick of the situation, my position was “outed” and I WAS getting a million PMs. I had to create a new screen name for both job security and my own sanity.
But seeing how it’s been over 11 years, I’m no longer in said position, and no one really cares anymore, I think I’m safe.
I will always set the record straight, because the horse had wonderful connections who do not deserve to be drug through the mud by the ignorant.
Well @Texarkana I must have been one of the few that did not notice your connection back then.
I thought it was referring to Matz’s assistant… or perhaps they just don’t know the difference between “steeplechasing” and show jumping, LOL
This person came out of the woodwork, and to post something so wacky–I guess triggered by Barbaro’s date of death?
I don’t know what triggered the wacky… but there are sure some seriously troubled folks out there. I was a big “Friend of Barbaro” during that time. I had the bracelet, and the pin, and my heart went out to the horse, and his connections. Matz is a fine horseman.
Wow, you joined the forum the same time that I did, although you have a few more posts ASB Stars.
Wow! A census taker! If you look around on COTH, you’ll find people who joined after me, who have many times MORE posts! Can you even imagine?
Yes, there were a couple of articles posted about Barbaro’s anniversary date this week. Must have given the new visitor some bad dream that provided him with some insight all of those who were actually there never saw.
There is nothing of quality in that fiction. :disgust:
Maybe this is going to be a venue for those in withdrawal from the CC crap?
Kind if surprised the Mods left any of it up after the last of the 2011 posts on the original zombie thread.
A VERY stupid, and O/T question:
What does “down the road from bar.ka” mean?
Tongue in cheek regular poster under the alter of bar.ka lounger. Offered many " training tips" and “expert advice” based on recurring discussion topics that tend to always go south. It was fun and funny in a satirical sense. Unfortunately bar.ka was “murdered” when outed under her regular screen name. Her sister so.fa lounger briefly took over but disappeared. Last seen with a a box of crayolas in Aunt Esters purse. I lived right down the road from both that poster, bar.ka and so.fa, we rode together once. But they moved. Should change it, I guess but it still makes me smile as a reference to some classic train wreck threads, kind of a salute to COTH tradition
The period in bar.ka is also associated with a classic train wreck thread about a whack job trainer. You can get a really good laugh searching for these threads, try Crazy Crayola Trainer and Chicken in the Oven. Don’t remember the exact thread title but searching for Heat.her Hill will bring up the amazing whack job trainer, that thread also coined the color Greymino as trainer couldn’t decide if her world champion Short Stirrup Pony was grey or palomino, didn’t matter, she
stole the pics off FB and never touched it/them. One Pony’s irate owner showed up on that thread, great fun.
Oh MY! <shocked but amused>
Glad I missed the ‘train-wreck!’ Unless it was very entertaining - then sorry I missed all the fun (?)
“Chicken in the Oven”? Why does the title of this scare me? lol!
EDITED To Add - ‘thank you, findeight. i’ll try to look for these things. But is there an archive, or something?’ i don’t know where to look for these threads. Thanks for your help!
They are entertaining and most are in the Favorites archive, go to the lower right corner here, below the post reply box in the lower right, click the arrow on the right of the “jump to” rectangle and scroll down to Favorites. Or just search by title or key word in all forums. They are all FUNNY tho some turn sad as delusion gets exposed… Might also like Florida Horse Saga, which stayed on the rails and Arabian Jumper.which did not and got all tne way to a dead cactus, Iraq and Nazis., Have fun.
Thanks! I’ll check 'em out.
