Barefoot Arizona Saddle/Arizona Nut Saddle

Lovely!

Oh nifty.

We drove through Lancaster once on our spring vacation in Death Valley. I’ve not been there to stay though.

Hi,
We have been the importer/distributor for both Barefoot Saddles and Freeform saddles and would be happy to answer any questions. Our newest Western saddle is the Freeform Barrel Trail which looks just like a traditional western saddle. These saddles will be available in January and within the next few weeks there will be information on our website about the features and of course pictures of the saddles.
Happy Holidays.

Hi,
The new Barefoot Arizona Nut is really a lovely saddle. Since is has the VPS system as do all Barefoot’s it does provide the rider with a slight feel of a twist. It has the same functionality to the horse as all the Barefoot saddles. The main difference is aesthetics. It has a deep seat and is very comfortable on the trail. And, as with all our saddles, it is available for demo.

OK, I spoke with someone on the phone yesterday @ Action Rider Tack, very helpful, and I think I am going to go with the Arizona Nut Saddle!

It just sounds like what I am looking for and the construction is just beautiful.

I’ve ridden in Bob Marshalls, years ago, and found them comfy…at first. But what I did not like is they can almost bend in half. I felt the suede seat, underneath it the fleece, then the horse’s back. It was more of a super secure bareback pad with horn, cantle and stirrups than an actual “saddle” in my experience. The contact was almost “too close” for my taste.

Anyway, I am pretty excited. Now, I won’t be getting my next horse for another month or so, so I can’t really share my thoughts for awhile, but this is what I’m going to get

Katyb,
I have the same saddle and noticed in your photo that the stirrup leathers are over the fenders.
You can put the leathers under the fenders, as it may be a bit more comfortable…
LOL - I know, but it was just flipped over when he tacked up; he figured it out before he got on.

Wow, that’s only an hour and a half from me. I bet with all this rain it’s going to be beautiful. Thanks for posting that picture, looks like I have another trail riding goal.

Thank you, dreamswept.

It was taken last April at the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve near Lancaster, CA.
What a stunning photo and an absolutely adorable horse!

I have a Barefoot Arizona that I have been riding in for several years. I love it. And I can use it on all my horses. I use the Equipedic pad with it. Its great for even an all day trail ride.

SoCalGal, how’d u go with the Arizona??
Just joined this forum…mainly coz this thread jumped up in a google search on the Arizona Nut. I’m going bananas (nuts ha ha) about saddles ATM, I have ridden in my barefoot Cheyenne every day for 6 years, (the only one I could afford at the time with the intention of upgrading relatively soon after if treeless “worked” on my hard to fit Arab, which it did) and I’m torn with which one to go with now that my Cheyenne is on it’s way out. I have had lots of good advice/opinions from the yahoo treeless group, I’ve just given back a Fhoenix trial saddle which I loved on my TB but not my Arabian. I’m trying an ansur saddle in November. But they are pricey. The Arizona Nut keeps attracting me…but I’m scared to bite the bullet & get one. I am in Australia, so it’s hard to get the bob Marshall ones (I’ve emailed them to see if they ship here) and the Sensation ones (for some reason NZ have them?) as u can understand I’m dubious about buying without trying! I mainly trail ride, with a bit of cow work, plus dressage too.
If anyone’s watching this thread or can give me a bit of insight that would be terrific!!
