Actually, you do need to be cautious, some people have direct deposit so that no password is required. (I have that).
Be careful sending etransfers to people you don’t know and read the info carefully when doing it.

I feel like I need to repeat:

I don’t inherently have a problem with helping out a BO, or a BO asking for a favor. I am not ungrateful to them. It’s a thankless business. I am always willing to lend a hand, especially to people who I value and respect.

I also understand there are 1,001 reasons why a BO might need to change the payment date.

BUT…

I have a huge problem with a barn owner changing the payment date with less than a week’s notice. I especially have a problem when it comes in the form of a mass text with not even so much as an “I’m so sorry for the inconvenience.” A smiley face emoji does not negate the fact that you have messed up and need a favor ASAP. Favors are just that- favors. They aren’t compulsory demands.

I am glad things worked with OP, but I agree with you. Giving less than a week notice to pay early is not quite professional as holidays are planned in advance. As some has mentioned, it might not seem to be a big ask for a few days early, but people do have strict bill payment plans.
