one of my horses did like to eat the pelleted straw :rolleyes: The other 3 never did. That one will also try to nibble on pine pellets, so I just bury his new pellets under broken down pellets, and at least he doesn’t go bobbing for pellets :lol:
I have not had any issues with stability. That said, I wouldn’t do a light layer (to begin with), with a horse with tender feet. Those pellets can be hard enough to poke sensitive soles. Then again, if I had one with soles that sensitive, he’d have pads on his feet, so… shrug
