He’s trying to be a good horse hubby and time the proposal to something REALLY memorable - but doesn’t quite get how horse people work??? At least he’s trying, sounds like a keeper!

I was in tears and that horse was cool as a cucumber galloping back after he blew out.
I think he got wetter doing the extra trip up and back in front of the grandstands but I thought great gesture to do that.

Not quite - second fastest Belmont time for horses that have won the Triple Crown.
For all Belmont winners, he is among the top. Fastest since AP Indy in 1992.
You know, I went out of the house and made horse feed and came back in. I just didn’t want to jinx anything. but it’s up on Youtube already - haven’t watched any of them for a couple years. What a nice horse, and a race that reminded me of Secretariat - wire to wire and even pulling away a little at the end (well, a little bit like Secretatiat, lol)
I wonder how much the stud fee is going to be. Do you think this will be his last race? Or will they try to aim for the BC?
I have a love-hate relationship with racing, so I wasn’t going to watch, but at 6:45pm I kind of went “I have a feeling” and went to watch it with my mom. I’m so glad I did. What a moment to see live.
