I would use the balm on the lining, if it were me. But, I’m pretty pleased with it, and I found that the best way to keep my boots soft, supple and breaking in nicely was to condition the insides.

I’ve got several new batches of balm made up with the formulation slightly different to see if it is softer in this version. So, those will ship tomorrow and we’ll see!

Just chiming in to give another fab review for the soap AND the leather conditioner!

I have a barn full of teenage Pony Clubbers and getting them to clean their tack every day is no problem now that I have all the “flavors” of the soap for them to choose from. I know what I’m getting everyone for Christmas… (so they’ll stop stealing all mine!).

Also, I tried out the leather conditioner and I really really like it. Did as the directions instructed and used a soft rag to rub into the leather (great use for old pillow cases…), and then buffed to a polish. Very cool! Had not done that previously with my other conditioners and I loved the result. Shiny (though not obnoxiously shiny and not slick) and quite supple.

With a busy lesson and training barn, I use both products on a daily basis, without a doubt. I’ve had some time out of the saddle while an injury heals, so I’ve spent a lot of quality time with this soap lately!

I had the most random dream about your soap and balm. Appearntly I found myself in some upscale department store, and I was talking to the sales lady in the purse section about your product! She let me know I was welcome to leave samples and that she would love to stock your product… So weird. It felt so real too…

Well, I HAVE been thinking of trying it out on an old Coach purse that I stopped using because it has so many marks on it (white leather, yikes!). Years ago, I bought the $$$ speshul Coach cleaner & conditioner and it didn’t do a thing. Perchance I shall try Libby’s magical concoction on it! :yes:

Just chiming in again about the conditioner. I tried putting it in the microwave for ~15-20 seconds, it softened it right up and made it super easy to apply. it was similar in texture to cwd conditioner. Love this stuff, will be purchasing more soon!!!

Man I wish I would have taken a picture but my battery was super low on my phone so I couldnt

I found these nasty, moldy, hard edgewood reins at the barn and my trainer was like if you can clean them, you can keep them. Armed with my HS soap, they came clean and super soft! I had to soak them in oil to really get them nice, but the soap seriously helped!

Never going back to anything else!

Reminisce – glad to know a little warmup helped! The batches I shipped out yesterday should be a little softer. If anyone ordered from those batches, I would love to hear feedback!

Not exactly! I know I email-stalked you for a few solid weeks. Seriously, guys, I would send poor Libby like 12 emails a day that went a little something like this: “OK, so Companies A & B are in–yayzers! I contacted Companies C, D, E, F, & G today, so fingers crossed! Meanwhile, Companies H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, & Q have still not even gotten back to me! Blargh! grumble, grumble, moan, whine, grumble”

Libby, what would be the timeline on the new special scent? Obviously the person who won the Canter auction just did that yesterday, but are you anticipating it being released concurrently with the current scents, or would you be putting it out after the Vanilla Mint’s run is up? I ask because I’m going to have to order more soon, and if the next special scent is going to be up my alley, I should probably hold off!
