SOOOO bummed I missed Starla’s Sugar n Spice – perhaps a black market for limited edition scents will arise? LOL kidding!!!
Making my list and checking it twice . . .
What did you decide about the lip balm? (must go find that thread . . .)

Send me a note – I might know where there is a Sugar & Spice hiding!
Lip Balm not up yet – maybe soon?
Your soap was well received by the winners at our jumper show back in May. I was lucky to get it all into the prize buckets since there were more than a few of us who wanted it.
So happy to see the sampler pack. Just placed an order for DD for Christmas. Now maybe I’ll be able to decide which scent I like best.
What’s this about lip balm!?!? How’d I miss that?!?!
I also just received notification that my most recent purchase has shipped - yippee!!! Mini soaps to send with my horses’ tack on lease - now I know my tack will get the same loving care I give it, because this soap is impossible to resist using, what with it’s majikal properties and all.

No, no you won’t. You will continue to need them all. And you, too, will be a Higher Standards Leather Care addict.
Just got my package in the mail today! Even faster than last time into Ontario.
I got the Sugar and Spice, CinnaMint, and a balm. I’m planning on giving the balm to my coach for xmas along with one of the soaps…I still have the Rosemary Mint and Lavender Vanilla from my original order. I’m just now starting to see the bottom of my Citrus Ginger, yet I HAD to get the limited edition scents!
I agree that the Sugar and Spice is much more on the spice side than the sweet. Was expecting it to smell like a cookie, but it’s much more subtle and spicy. Nice! The CinnaMint is also very refreshing but not too strong. Really happy with both. I’m going to have to give my coach one of the originals because I like these ones more!
I also missed the lip balm discussion - I use lip balm all the time. Hmm…maybe I can use some leather balm on my lips?

I am working on one more secret scent that may debut for December that my DH requested – it should be pretty guy friendly too!
Is it… Maple Bacon?!?
 I hadn’t even considered that one!!
I’ll suggest that to my DH and see if he wants to test it!
Yay! It shipped already. But I know it won’t make it til Christmas - I’m horrible at waiting.
But looking on the bright side we can pick a favorite scent for Christmas.
The worst part about ordering the mini Christmas set is that you get to smell all of the scents…and then you find that you MUST HAVE the ones that aren’t already in your collection!
Lotion please!! This is the time of year when my hands get dry and cracky and barn dirt gets stuck in the cracks and it’s impossible to get clean.

Schweet! I’m kind of obsessed with the combo right now…
Hey guys,
I am coming in on this thread late and with it being so long would anyone mind adding the link where I can go and order some. It sounds wonderful!

I just applied the balm with my hands to a not-so-soft, but not crappy, bridle and reins. I was sitting there, massaging away on one of the reins, daydreaming, and realized the leather was limp! I could hold it in my hand and it would fall at an almost 90 degree angle. Checked the other rein (not yet done : ) not so much. Is there such a thing as having leather that’s too soft and supple? :D
I hate limp reins, I like them to have a certain amount of body to them without being stiff. I know over oiling can weaken leather, is that true of over conditioning with other products as well?
Received my order today, and every one of the scents smells heavenly! I can’t wait to try the soap myself, but most of all I’m excited to package up the presents for my friends and BO. Thanks, Bensmom!
Just had to add . . .
DH bought yet another musky rod , which definitely needed some serious TLC.
He sanded down the grips, then mumbled “I need to go buy some wax this weekend”.
Since DH is an only-child-Aries , I asked if he wanted to try my leather conditioner until he could get the majikal musky rod wax, made from the tears of the world record musky caught by Louis Spray in the holy musky waters of . . . blah blah blah.
So, the verdict is . . . he LOVED it! I shall report back in the spring when we actually USE the rod.
However, if it works on musky gear the way it does on tack, you could charge DOUBLE and these guys would line up around the block to buy it!
The only folks that spend more on their hobby than horse people are musky fisherman; they’re truly insane.
Am I the only one whose mind was in the gutter (and slightly confused) by 2HG’s post? Especially that “majikal musty rod wax” part.
No, really, they’re uber-expensive fishing poles!!!
Probably should have added that it was only a small rod, at 8 feet
Like we need another euphemism on here!
Maybe I’ve just spent too much time in the panty-wadding thread, but my mind definitely went there.
I was over at my step-mother’s place during Thanksgiving and dug out some misc. tack that has been sitting in a trunk, in a musky basement with other misc. items for the last 5 or so years.
In that misc. tack was what had once been a beautiful Walsh halter. It wasn’t pretty and immediately set my allergies off.
And after a thorough cleaning with Bensmom’s soap and a conditioning with the leather balm (which I will need more of very soon):
