Kickboxing. And I do intermittent fasting to control weight.
I get paid to deliver pamphlets. I use a push bike and walk it up hills while it carries the pamphlets for me. I coast downhills.
Pilates is fantastic.
At the moment I am working 3 weeks at a time walking from 10am to 7pm.
I do crossfit a few times a week and try to also go for runs with my dogs. I make efforts to eat mainly fruits and veggies and lean protein am not super strict about it.
In all seriousness, barn chores are all the exercise I get.
But 3X daily = roughly 1-2h of light mucking (horses are out 24/7) grooming, feeding, tidying up, lifting 40# bales. etc seems to be keeping the 20# I lost since retiring (from a desk job) off.
I don’t own a scale, but judging by the way clothes fit is a good enough measure for me - down 2 pant sizes.
Also a diet APP similar to MyFitnessPal is a good way for me to track what I am eating.
I have it on my phone & got in the habit of entering meals.
Seriously hard to tell yourself “I hardly ate anything today” when the app says different.
And if a day ends up being calorie-heavy, there is always tomorrow.
10,000 steps a day and Pilates 3x a week with a trainer
Yoga once or twice a week, biking around town, walking my dog, and barn chores do it for me. I also eat relatively well besides a glass of wine or random sweets craving. I think it’s all about balance and doing exercise you enjoy. If I want a burger, I eat a burger, but since I eat healthy and cook at home most nights, I rarely crave that kind of stuff. Don’t limit yourself too much or you’ll constantly think about what you can’t have.
