… I have had personal experience with a now defunct breeder barn who wasn’t very honest.[/QUOTE]
That stinks.
BTW: It looks like Craig Stanley just won the USEF 4 year old Championship on his homebred horse out of Caliente DG.
Oak Hill Ranch in LA (Danish)
Horses Unlimited in NM
Trevelyan Farm in PA has bred nice dressage horses and ponies!
Nancy Holowesko of Crosiadore Farm. She breeds amazingly lovely and talented babies. I know she has several for sale now and also a young mare from her breeding that is showing I1 and doing really well.
She also bred a mare in Germany that won an 1e prize in the Brilliant ring at Rastede !! that tells you something about the quality she is breeding - and Nancy is super to work with.
My favorites are:
Green Gate here in MA, http://www.greengatestud.com/
Also, Majestic Gaits in NH, http://majesticgaits.com/
Watermark Farm in PA, http://www.watermark-farm.net
Fair winds in VA, http://www.fair-windsfarm.com/
Broadfields 121 as well, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Broadfields-121/725899014194287
http://www.wysteriafarm.com/ in MA.
http://carnivalhillfarm.com/index.html in NH
and of course my farm www.twinlightsfarm.net if you are looking for ponies!

I see DG Bar horses doing well in young horse classes- I never see them in the upper level national championships. Why is that?

Dalina (?) DG was in the developing PSG. Ended up somewhere in the middle if I recall properly.
I suspect that many of the DG Bar horses are sold and then it’s up to the new owners to move them up the levels. I’d keep an eye out in the next couple of years, it looks like their business model could be changing.
If you are referring to the USDF “National” Championships, it might be that same old lack of interest in hauling horses from CA to KY in November, but that’s pure speculation on my part.
Has anyone yet said Mo Swanson/Rolling Stone Farm?
Her horses have an “h” as the 2nd letter of the name – Like Dheputy.
She is now standing stallions that she has bred and is producing lovely foals.
I know several people personally who have bought from Mo and have been very happy.

Bumping this for those talking about dressage horses coming from a cabbage patch.
LEARN, people, learn. Read the replies and think about what you can do better. The sad part in the other topic is that breeders often think they are doing favors for the riders. Bad business model. Supply and demand, AND perception pushes a business forward! Crazy DQ attitudes will not sell your horses. That’s a bad business model. Some of the ones listed here also have trainers who own and start the horses. That’s huge for many buyers.
I too vote for Nancy Holowesko. Going by what I’ve seen from her US-based stock and the ones I know from over here. Love her horses!
Then there was Mary Lou Winn from FL who unfortunately quit a little while ago. She has done awfully well over the years.
Has anybody mentioned Ann Kitchel? She too seems to have achieved a lot.
As others have mentioned, Nancy Holowekso at Crosiadore has terrific horses and is wonderful to work with.
Eliza Rutherford at Foxwood Hannoverians does an amazing job with her breeding program.

I’d say so–she just won high score US Bred horse at Devon to the tune of 83.4.
