I have to second the DC area as an exceptional horsey area with great jobs. I work in the healthcare industry and the job market here is great, and the health systems here are very good (Inova, Hopkins, some UHS facilities, and Adventist in MD). The commute can be tough, but VA horse scene out I-66 is awesome, and Maryland outside the beltway there are some great competitive programs. Many places here have indoors too, for all season riding! The salaries tend to be preyyy competitive here as well, as the cost of living tends to be higher. I am biased, but Zone 3 has incredible shows and plenty of rated AND non rated competitions.
