Best field boots for wide calves?

Another member of the club. Only feet are even small, a 6 would be perfect but I can never go that small because the calf goes down as well.

A couple years ago I got the Tredstep Gran Torinos, and the foot is too big but not horribly and I had to take the tops in (because if you have small feet and a big calf, obviously you ARE fat ). The boots are very nice.

I just lucked across a pair of the Tredstep Donatellos for way cheap on TOTD, the “old style” and then were left because who wears a 37 foot and is XW calf, XT height? Well, me! Thank you TOTD for my $350 boots for $75 :). And I don’t think I’ll have to have the tops taken in. Just mentioning them because no one else mentioned that brand.

SmartPak now has a plus-size Tredstep on their website. I’m barely 5’1" with a 7 1/2-8 foot and fat legs (17" right calf and 18" left calf thanks to a broken tib/fib last year). I just ordered them - should be delivered today so we’ll see how they are. They also have a plus size Tuff Rider brand but these may all be TOO big for you.

I am about a 14.75" calf and require a tall - I got the Tredstep Da Vincis and a 7.5 medium was 15" wide and 19" tall. They fit perfectly. Tredstep seems to have a great range of calf height and width options.

And I think they are a lovely boot. I got compliments at a clinic two weekends ago :).

You might check out JPC’s new unconstructed boot lines , the Wellsley, Regal, and Belmont, they run a bit large/ slim would be equivlant to Regular , Xslim would be more like slim ect…

Yep, I wear the wellesley in a regular and have no problem getting it zipped, however do have a problem getting the zipper to stay up since it’s pulled so tight, so I exchanged it for the Regal in a wide which also has the wear patch on the inside calf so hopefully they last longer.

I’m short, too, and because these bunch at the ankle I can wear them no problem.

I have a pair of custom Vogels in a size 7 or 7.5N with approximately a size 16" calf if anyone is interested.

I know this is an old post, but fuller fillies does! They are the only folks that can make xtall and xxwide calves (mine are 17.5). Mine are going on 5 yrs old.

Fuller fillies no longer has a US distributor. The last post on this thread was 4 years ago.
