Best half pad?

Fleeceworks now has a non-fleece bamboo full pad which wicks super well and is structurally dense like the Back on Track pad. I might try one- I just saw them at a horse show recently and was impressed.

My cold-backed Princess and the Pea prefers his BoT pads even in the steamy summer- they wick really well so he doesn’t overheat.

Thanks for starting this thread - I’ve been considering an Ecogold pad and need to decide between the flip half pad and the memory foam pad. Any thoughts?

If you’re ever in the market for a new saddle, a serge-panel saddle might be worth considering. The horses seem to like them better than regular panels.

Totally understand if that option is off the table though. I’ve been using a Saddleright pad and really like it. I think it evens out any pressure points since it has a bit of firmness to it. With my last horse, I was using a Back on Track back cover to help warm her up for ~20 minutes before riding in the winter and it seemed to help loosen her up without the heat-trapping issue of riding in a BoT saddle pad.
