Best high impact sport bras?

If you are are generous size (like, D/DD and up), underarmour will do nadda for you, ask me how I know. The two underarmour bras I own are now just for yoga. I own two anitas and two panache. I love them both. I prefer the anitas for running and being a gym brat and the panache for riding. My only dislike about the anita is that although it lined, if you have nips that like to make their presence known, they’ll definitely be seen. But the material of the Anita is very breathable and washes super well. Mine have held up great. The sizing is weird, though–I have a 32F and a 34G, and I’m normally a 32DD.

Try the Panache. It runs generous in the cup and is UK sizing so fuller is not a problem and it racer backs.

The female marines in town call it the “wonder woman” bra. It doesn’t smash you or misshape you, it gives as much lift as a regular bra.

What do you like in every day bras? Not trying to be a pain, I like to hear what full busts are liking.[/QUOTE]

Not a pain at all

My current favorites are the Freya Deco and Panache Porcelain in plunge varieties.

I will give the Panache sports bra a try. I normally buy from Figleaves.com, and I’ve never understood how the UK seems to understand the market and the US (for the most part) does not. I laugh in the face of Victoria’s Secret…

Another vote for Moving Comfort Fiona.

Not weird at all, bras are like anything else, the all fit differently.

Panache sports bra = generous in cup so you may have to size down

Anita = runs smaller in the band, smaller in the cup, no half cups (like DD, FF). Size up!

I love the Deco and the Panache 3371. Have you tried the newest generation of the Panache plunge? I haven’t gotten it in store yet but requested a sample.

Has anyone tried the wacoal, Nike, or reebok sport bras? Thank you.

Panache sports bra all the way.

I wear them 6 or 7 days a week. All day. They are my primary bras. If I remember, I racerback the bra for riding, and wear it regular for other work (mucking, using the tractors, lunging, etc.). It doesn’t smash the girls together, so I feel comfortable wearing it into meetings at the University if I need to.

I will say, I’m in between band sizes, and I usually size down. With this bra, size up. The elastic is so much stronger, it doesn’t give enough if you’re between sizes. I now have a $70 bra I can’t wear. :frowning:

Enell enell enell! 'Nuff said!

Pure Lime have been great. They come in ‘real’ sizes and have held up well to wash and wear treatment without babying. Good fit/good shape/good comfort.

I absolutely hated the Enell. And the Under Armour. I use the Moving Comfort Maia. But, and this is big but, I am post reduction. I went through a lot to get these girls. I will do whatever I have to to have the perky girls. And even though I am a generous C now, I still do a double underwire when I run or ride. IE, I still wear two bras. So maybe I’m not the best one to ask.

Some people hate underwire, but after 10 years of agony, it is not even remotely uncomfortable for me.

I wear the Moving Comfort Maia bra every day, all day, for everything I do. (Title Nine calls it the 2-in-1 bra.) I like that it has a smooth front which means it’s got a very unobtrusive line under clothes.

I echo the advice that you should try to match your skintone (even a little darker seems better than white) if you don’t want the bra to show through a sheer show shirt.

I have an Anita active in a 32F that I absolutely LOVE!!!

I’m actually a fan of the Champion Double Dry Distance underwire bras…I bought four of them at the outlet about three years ago, and they have done great, although they are starting to get a bit pill-y now…but I’m glad to know of other options for those of us that like underwire bras. I bought some of the ones from Title Nine, but I just couldn’t do the uni-boob, smooshed together thing. That, combined with a bad shoulder, made the Frog bra almost impossible to get out of. I much prefer underwire with a back close - so much easier…I’m going to have to look into the Panache ones…

For non-sports bras, I have found you can’t beat Chantelle…I had a professional fitting at Nordstrom’s and bought a couple there, and then found that if you know the size and style number you like, you can score insane deals on them, brand new, on eBay…I have about six of the same model that I got for about $25/each on eBay…and finding a 34DD doesn’t appear to be too difficult…

Just cleared it out

I bought a Panache bra earlier this year and have been disappointed. I love the fit and support (especially loved the racerback option), but within a couple of months of having it, the underwire on one side started to poke up through the end of the seam of the “channel” it’s in. I pulled out my needle and thread and fixed it, so it worked for a while longer, but then the OTHER one started to do the same thing! Maybe mine was just defective, but for the amount of money spent on it, I had really hoped that it would last longer.

The Enells have been pretty good for me, but I hate the uniboob look, the fact that they’re not lined, and I especially hate that the coating always wears off the bottom hook and eye closures which causes them to rust and fall apart.

Does anyone have any suggestions for the smaller chested? Thank you for all the responses!

How do you think the support is? I’m very interested in these! Thank you

Title Nine has a lot of options, and they’re not all uniboob. They rate them for support and which are better for smaller and larger folk, and they have staff that can answer questions. The ideal would be to have a good shop with a bra fitter, but if you cannot get to one, I would at least peruse their catalog and get yourself a sense of what the options are.

I use this Juno bra.

Another vote for the TaTa Tamer by LuLulemon. They come in regular bra sizes and as a plus your “girls” look normal!
