I use the drill brushes to clean my water tanks. If you get the ones with a long attachment, your hands stay dry in winter and it takes 2-3 minutes to get a spotless water tank.
If you have an easy keeper, they are fantastic for bringing feed on the road, and truthfully probably not just an easy keeper since I store 4-5 days of ration balancer, same amount of beet pulp pellets, 4-5 scoops of alfalfa cubes, supplements (in little storage cups from IKEA) easily. I’ve got two buckets for longer trips.
It’s super convenient since driving shows rarely do the tack stall and most of us store our feed/hay in front of the stalls. No loose horse (or loosely attended horse!) is getting in those buckets.
For a mobile equipment box I use the Rigid box system. I have 3 boxes that snap together. The bottom box holds helmets and safety vests for me and my navigator but could easily hold tack and grooming supplies. The middle box is like a fancy milk crate design so it’s perfect for all my boots (CDE usually requires 2 sets of 4 plus a fair amount of bell boots) and my marathon shoes… All of which are still usually damp by the time I pack up. And the top box is perfect for all the other things, it’s the doodad box. Gloves, hair supplies, ear poms and a lot of things that are really specific to driving. But they could all be easily adapted to another discipline, plus the boxes can all be locked together with a long rod+padlock and the box itself would be easy to lock to a stall bar, etc. I mean they are took boxes, people thought about making it so they don’t walk off.
I also use dishwashing gloves on my super sensitive TB! He now actually enjoys a curry session instead of acting like it’s torture.
Found my new favorite ice boots for his front cannon bones. They aren’t very long but fit perfectly from knee to above fetlock. Velcro straps wrap around for tight fit. They contour to the leg and actually make contact so the leg is cold. Soft on the inside. AND…cheap! (compared to horse ice boots).

I just purchased a towel warmer to heat up my horses coolers, exercise sheets, and saddle pads. Plus I can toss in my extra socks and gloves. Kinda excited about it.
Thought of another one - we have a spinning scrubber on a long pole used for cleaning our shower at home - we are getting one for the barn for cleaning cobwebs and stall walls.
I use the Walmart knock-off of medicated Gold Bond for my retired guy’s hoof boots
This sounds interesting. Do you have a link for it?
Not sure if this is the exact on we have, but same concept. https://www.amazon.com/YKYI-Replaceable-Adjustable-Detachable-Broadcast/dp/B0C3753R54/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?crid=2TGY20845R8LN&keywords=shower+scrubber&qid=1698864848&sprefix=shower+scru%2Caps%2C348&sr=8-3-spons&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.006c50ae-5d4c-4777-9bc0-4513d670b6bc&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1
Hoping to find a plug in one.
I’m going to get one of these for my walk-in shower. I absolutely hate cleaning it
If you can squeegee it after every shower while you drip dry for a minute or two, it absolutely cuts down on the time spent deep cleaning.
That, and Kaboom and a magic eraser. Just expect to wheeze a little because I think kaboom is CLR in a purple spray bottle.
So…dumb question. How do you rinse kaboom if your shower head doesn’t reach that far???
I do squeegee after every shower but we have hard water and it still leaves spots and I refuse to towel dry the tile every time. I want a way to clean without having to bend down or stretch. Yes, I’m lazy
what I really need is a maid/House cleaner
I cup water in my hands and whoop it
which towel warmer did you buy?
We’re on a well with hard water (not terribly hard), and I find that using Clean Shower (or another such product, such as the one by Method) very soon (couple minutes at most) after every shower really makes a difference. I very rarely have to scrub the tile and/or grout lines.
I use one of the long handled scrubbies with the fillable handle for the shower from Dollar Tree. I fill it with a Dawn/vinegar mixture and give it a scrub 1-2x/wk.
Those scrubbers where you fill the (hollow) handle with your liquid cleaner/soap are pretty useful for lots of things.
