Best no-bounce bra?
there are many threads on the forums about bras, If you search you will get a lot of information

Enell is considered the top choice, though not attractive (who cares?)

Title 9 Sports is the best clearing house

it is, however, best to go someplace where you can be properly fitted. A great bra that is not fitted well is useless.
If it helps- I have bought all 4 of my Enells on ebay through sandjoutlet for about $35 each. They are labeled “seconds” but they have lasted well over 10 years and are as functional and hideous as the day I bought them.

32-34 G/H cup here.

I think it may depend on chest size, too. I’m not particularly big (B), but I wanted something that was seriously No Bounce for sidesaddle, because that is even bouncier than dressage. I got a few things over the winter to see what worked best, and have been happiest with the Moving Comfort Fiona. Really locks it all down!

Panache is amazing. Big thumbs up!

Has anyone tried the Shefit sports bra?

Panache.

Comfortable enough to wear all day and then you can easily hook the straps together for when you need full support for riding/running. No mono-boob. I wouldn’t be without one now. I’m an E cup and they come in large cup sizes.

Bought the Enell

Bought the Enell and am pleased with the results, although it is a bit of a chore to get into it. Recently got a Title 9 catalog in the mail and their “full metal jacket” bra looks identical to the Enell.

Has anyone tried both? Curious to know difference.

Thanks!

99% positive it’s the same bra, they just use their own “fun” name for it, like what Modcloth does on their site.

If you’re looking for a bra-looking sports bra to rotate with your Enell, Panache Sports Bra is fantastic. I’m a little too full-on-bottom for the cup shape but the containment is so good, I’ve stuck with it. I even converted one of my trainers because she commented on how little I bounce (considering the rest of me was a sack of potatoes at the time, that’s saying something).

Title9 sells bras that they re-name for their catalog. They carry Glamorise, Pure Lime and other brands, with their own names/descriptions. Sometimes if you go on to their website, you can look at a listing, enlarge the photo, and you’ll see the “Real” maker’s label. And/or do the live chat and ask for the brand/maker of an item.

They are not any less expensive, and are often MORE expensive, for the sports bras they carry.

I wear Danskins from Walmart too! They are more comforable than sports bras that have no closure or cups. I wish they came in more sizes though. I have to buy one close to my size but not exact and as soon as they stretch a little I need a new one.

As a recent convert (and as someone who has tried Enell in the past), another vote for Panache.

SheFit

I got my SheFit last week Yes I waited a long time for it but it was worth it! Took lesson on Miss Mare and even with bucks of annoyance and other shenanigans my chest stayed put:cool:
I ended up wearing it all day as it was not as constricting as my Enell. Fabric is thick but not too hot. I loved that I can adjust how much support i need. Still a uniboob:no: but i like not moving more than i worry about the outward appearance.

Enell

From the ad, I think they are probably pure crap. But as a 38HH, there isn’t much that will contain my girls so I’m very picky. For a less-endowed lady, they might work fine.

Also, the last thing I want is velcro up by my collarbones. That’ll shred a shirt FAST! Plus, velcro eventually curls a bit and that won’t be comfortable or pretty.

Anita bras by far.

The first one has more control. No uniboob. Very comfortable and has great wicking properties.

The Panache I found to be large under the arm pit area. It fit my cup size but was gappy on the outer part of the cup. Weird fit for me. I’m a 32 DDD so maybe Panache isn’t great for this size range?

A prerequisite for any sports bra is hook and eye closures vs pull ons. Wrestling to get off a wet sports bra after riding is not my idea of fun. Houdini I am not.

The CW-X and the Juno sports bras both have materials that are more like your Mom’s Playtex bras of the 60s, not the tech fabrics of today. And the fit didn’t work for me.

I wear Wacoal bras but the sports bra doesn’t provide enough control for my size.

My bra tests were based on an earlier Chrono thread mentioned above.

Conclusion = Anita . . . Buy from Bare Necessities when they have their 30% off sales.

I have worn Champion high impact sport bras since the beginning of time, but I’m looking for something that won’t create the “uni-boob” look. Is there a store that carries the Panache wire-free bra so I can try it on first before buying? I checked Nordstrom but the wire free sports variety is only sold on-line.

I think with Nordstrom it’s free shipping and returns. Order a few sizes in one order.

Another Wacoal fan here. Yes, Nordys does offer free shipping but even better (IMO) is that they offer help with sizing and finding the perfect fit if you have time to actually go into the store.

A third vote for doubling up. I wear a Shock Absorber with a cheaper, soft cup “sports bra” over (the seamless racerback type, made from soft elastic fabric). By doing this I’ve been able to let out my SA by one hook and still have less bounce. I use this setup for running as well.
