Love, love, love the Nibblenets! Got mine a few months ago (horse also destroyed a Tough-1 net) and it still looks new. He’s rough on the net too! LOVE it and I have no doubts it will be lasting.

Re The Nibble Net -
I don’t know what size holes to order - the l l/2 inch of the 2 inch. I have a mare who need to be stalled for quite awhile, and she loves using the hay net. Its like a game. But the Tough 1 didn’t last.
I have mostly grass hay. What size should I get?
Another vote for the shire’s brand small hole hay net.

I’ve used these and LOVE THEM! They are tough! Had a few where the knot in the drawstring came undone, just tied a new knot and it was fine. Had one that got a small opening at the bottom, stitched it back up with nylon bailing twine and works great! They have lasted a while and are left outside in all weather.
Also love them because I can fill the hay bag and soak it in water.
Also easy way to fill them is put two hooks on a wall near where your hay cart is (like coat hooks, and at a slight angle, about 45 degrees, about 2 feet apart) and hook one edge on one, pull tight to the other one and hook it and with one hand pull the front edge out and the other hand use to fill it! Picture the opening looking like a big open triangle!
Also this is handy which I take with me when we camp and use it to fill the bags, though thought about adding hooks to the trailer:

It’s basically a flat piece of thin plastic, you roll up (like you roll up a newspaper) and slip in the opening of the net and release, it opens up and holds open the net, also works good for camping as a trash can).
I vote for the nibble nets. Mine have been going strong for over a year. I have three horses and a net in each stall. Go with the smallest hole they have. Mine can still wipe out the 2" net pretty quickly. They have it down to a science.
Nibble Net
Get the smallest hole size, especially for grass hay.
I have roughly 20 of the nets from JT “tough nets”. The horses that have made holes in them are very aggressive and i don’t think it would matter what brand they are as to durability. The regular horses are pretty easy on them and some are 2 years old.
Yes, the link posted to the blue hay net is the Shire hay net that I use. Very cheap, very tough, you can buy several and fill a few at a time and hang as needed. I find knotted nets outlast sewn hay holders.

The best bags I found were from TNT custom metalworks, their bags were the best so I asked them to make a special size for a cheap, easy DIY slow feed hay bucket idea I had, they sold me the company instead and I now make these great nets! Made in USA.
nibblenet. Some of mine are 4 years old, my horses best the crap out of them and they are fine. Get the XL size and, if you only give them a little hay, small holes. If you stuff it I think the regular holes are fine and less frustrating for the horses.
I love my Nibblenets. I have the 1 1/2 " size.
