WNT, where did you get the SS?[/QUOTE]

From the vet, it came in a tub about the size of a furazone jar. I had an empty sample container from something else I washed out and mixed it with the Desitin about half and half.

“SCRATCHES TREATMENT THAT WORKS”

I haven’t had "Scratches’ on a horse in twenty years, but this year my one horse has a BAD case on all four legs. By the time I discovered it, the legs were covered in scabs. I have been treating it for three days and already its clearing up. I brought out my old bottle of CREOLIN deodorant cleanser a TAR based cleanser and mixed 1/4 cup CREOLIN to one and a half gallons water. Soak the legs good with this solution and soften the scabs and rub with a wash cloth, leave the solution dry do NOT rinse. Next day repeat but after softening scabs scrub them all off if possible. Legs will be very sensitive and sore. Again let solution dry do not rinse. You won’t believe the difference by the next day. The TAR base kills the fungus and drys it up. DO NOT apply any ointment as this only prolongs the healing process, as you are trying to dry it up. Creolin can be found at Agway. Hope this helps someone else. Lisa Ives
