Billet replacement on a CWD monoflap

Does anyone have experience with replacing the billets on a CWD monoflap? Do the panels need to be dropped? Also, is it necessary to send it off to CWD to get the work done or would you go with someone local (could also use recommendations for folks who do this work on the east coast, preferably in or close to the Carolinas  )?

TIA!

Bumping this thread as I’m still looking for someone who could do this work.

Apparently the cut/configuration of the billet makes it more difficult and I’d really prefer not to have to send it back to CWD to get it done.

I’ve had the billets replaced on two of my monoflaps. Took it to a local saddle repair/ leather repair person. Did a fantastic job, and much less expensive than sending to CWD. Not to mention a heck of a lot faster

Would you mind sending me a PM of their name or contact please? At this point, if I can’t find anyone local then shipping it is definitely not out of the question.
